The world’s most successful downhill / race pedal just got even better! Dual-chamfered edges reduce costly rock strikes and combined with proven traction pad technology Mallet DH maximises your performance. Mallet pedals feature a double sided open design allowing for quick and reliable engagement with minimal mud clogging. A two piece body keeps the weight down whilst providing a strong and durable platform. Mallet DH are the clipless pedal of choice by most Pro World Cup riders. The ability to set the release angle of the cleats to either 15° to 20° means you can be really active on the pedal whilst still remaining attached to the bike. The concave pedal body gives a flat pedal feel with the assurance that you are connected to the bike. Release angle: 15° to 20° Cleat: Premium brass cleats included Warranty: 5 years Weight: 479g per pair Platform: Extruded/machined aluminium Wings: cast stainless steel Spring: 300 series spring stainless steel Spindle: Forged scm435 chromoly steel Q-factor: 57mm Inner bearing: igus LL-glide bearing has been exclusively formulated for crankbrothers. It performs in even the most adverse conditions out on the trails Outer bearing: enduro cartridge bearing is designed specifically for pedals. Enduro use superior materials grease and sealing on their bearings which are designed especially for use on a bike Double seal system combines a double lip internal seal and a new external seal to keep water and debris from entering the pedal Traction pins: 8mm adjustable Excellent mud-shedding: using the very open designed pedal platform Dual chamfered edges to reduce rock strikes Ribbed body for extra traction when unclipped 4-sided entry: clip in on all 4 sides of the pedal by pushing forward or pulling backwards on the pedal Extremely lightweight: pedal design is very simple with only a few key parts Increased float: 6° of side-to-side rotational play. The float of the pedal allows for the rider to shift positions on the bike while keeping their feet clipped into the pedal. This allows for improved rider control and bike handling Fit adjustment: crankbrothers premium cleats can be adjusted for either 15° or 20° release angle. Zero-float cleats can be purchased separately crankbrothers pedals are fully re-buildable for simple maintenance. Fizik Gravita Tensor Clip MTB ShoesThe Fizik Gravita Tensor Clip MTB Shoes have been engineered for the downhill and enduro mountain biker who wants a tough but lightweight shoe with a supportive sole unit that is perfect for full-commitment hard-charging clipped in riding. There's nothing more thrilling than riding fast on your mountain bike. And when you're getting rowdy, the Gravita Tensor Clip MTB Shoes have been engineered to give you that ideal balance of protection, durability and a precise fit. X6 Outsole. Clip in and Stay in Control. The heart of the Tensor Clip shoe is the X6 Outsole. It's this that keeps you confidently on the pedals and is crucial for reacting quickly, aggressively and nimbly to changing terrain and trail features. For the clipped version of the Gravita Tensor, Fizik has utilised a Vibram XS EVO tread compound. This isn't quite as sticky as that found on the flat-pedal shoe but makes for a smoother engagement and disengagement from clip-in pedals. The rubber compound is formed into a zonal lug pattern. Low profile mid-foot tread offers an optimal mechanical interface with pedal bodies, keeping you planted even if you don't immediately find your clip in point. Meanwhile, the heel and toes feature a deeper tread for greater traction when hiking back up the hill.Flex is also tuned for the clip-in rider. The stiffness gets a boost, rated 5 out of 10 on the Fizik stiffness scale, optimising power transfer and improving pedalling efficiency.Precision FitDownhill and enduro racing is all about shorter more intense efforts. Sprinting from the start gate, pushing hard into berms and lung-busting racing to the finish line. And it's the precise fit of the Gravita Tensor that supports your foot during those efforts. No power wasted. The ergonomically designed lace pattern creates an even tension across the foot and makes for easy adjustment to how you like your shoes to feel. Stability is also enhanced via Fizik's Powerstrap. Sitting over the instep, it stabilises the plantar arch and locks your heel in place. It also doubles as a lace lock.Durable and ProtectiveWhile rowdy mountain bike riding demands a tough shoe, Fizik didn't want to add unnecessary bulk or weight to the Tensor. The solution was to use a slim silhouette and utilise rip-stop fabrics that are very tough and yet remarkably light in weight. The rip-stop upper is also complemented by an injection-moulded TPU armoured toe-box to ward off rocks and roots - just what you need when you're foot out and flat out. Laminated scuff-guards also protect in high wear areas.Lastly, when riding aggressively you're constantly moving and it's easy to hit your ankle to cranks and swingarms. Here the raised inner ankle pad takes the sting out of those impacts, while not affecting your ankle mobility.Cleat GuidanceThese MTB shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.Features:Downhill/Enduro focused shoeDurable Ripstop fabric upperArmoured toe box with TPU reinforcements across upperErgonomic lace-up closure for an anatomical fit + instep Powerstrap closureX6 outsoleVibram XS EVO tread compound for secure feel on clip-in pedalsShock-absorbing EVA midsoleOutsole stiffness index 5Weight: 410 g2-bolt cleat compatible (cleats not supplied)Buy Fizik Footwear from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

The design for the original crankbrothers pedal began out of frustration. The founders of crankbrothers Carl and Frank were tired of getting stuck in mud-covered pedals with no way in or out. They realised that existing pedals were too complicated…. It started with a simple question: what is the best way to attach a shoe to a crank? To answer this question Carl and Frank created a system with only two moving parts hinging on a spring. This system became known as the eggbeater pedal and later it was adapted into the candy pedal. The candy 7 pedal is a clipless pedal with a platform offering improved stability across a wide range of disciplines from all mountain / trail to cyclo-cross. The pedal body is 10% larger than the level 1 2 and 3 pedal bodies. The chamfered edges help to minimise rock strikes. There is an ongoing debate amongst many riders about which is best candy or eggbeater. The candy pedal provides an additional platform which is confidence inspiring and also gives some support or those moments when you’ve unclipped but are unsure if you need to get your foot down for a dab jump off the bike or quickly get clipped in again and put the power down. Excellent mud-shedding: the design is very open. Ribbed body for extra traction when unclipped 4-sided entry: clip in on all 4 sides of the pedal by pushing forward or pulling backwards on the pedal. Increased float: 6° of side-to-side rotational play. The float of the pedal allows for the rider to shift positions on the bike while keeping their feet clipped into the pedal. This allows for improved rider control and bike handling. Fit adjustment: crankbrothers premium cleats can be adjusted for either 15° or 20° release angle. Zero-float cleats can be purchased separately (link to these). Customise the fit between your shoe/pedal interface by using integrated traction pads. The pedals come with the 1mm tread pads fitted and include set of 2mm pads in the box. Chamfered edges help reduce rock strikes Outer enduro cartridge bearing is designed specifically for pedals.
