Nukeproof Giga 290 Elite Bike (SLX) Full Suspension Mountain Bikes
  • £4599.99

The Giga 290 Elite is ideal for racing up steep, technical climbs and rocketing back down fast and daring descents, this Elite Giga full-suspension enduro bike is equipped with a Shimano 12-Speed groupset, hydraulic disc brakes and Fox Float suspension. Full Carbon Frame, 29" Wheels and Fox Performance Suspension This stylish and capable enduro bike features a full-carbon frameset that's armed with long-travel Fox Float 38 Performance Series suspension and a Shimano SLX M7100 12-Speed groupset with wide-ranging 10-51-tooth cassettes and SLX M7120 4-Pot hydraulic disc brakes. This all-terrain monster truck of a bike rolls upon Nukeproof Horizon V2 Boost wheels wrapped in Maxxis Assegai and Minion DHR Tubeless Ready tyres. The Giga 290 Elite offers speed, stability and traction that's ideal for conquering challenging enduro trails. Gluttony – Habitual Greed or Excess It’s a motto that athletes like Sam Hill live by. The new Nukeproof Giga is the embodiment of this idea; Designed to be the ultimate hard-hitting Super-Enduro weapon for when you just need more. As riders, we are all guilty of the gluttonous sin; we never stop striving, never stop pushing, enough is never enough in the hunt for the ultimate. It’s a constant push for bigger, longer, rougher and faster with ever-increasing demands on the performance and capabilities of our bike. The pursuit is endless. In its first year, the Giga frames have racked up numerous test wins and media awards, plus a whole heap of silverware at the races. Whatever the wheel size; the Giga is a seriously capable machine, with 180mm (27.5” or 29”/27.5”) or 170mm (29”) rear travel; the Giga is a monster truck of a bike that has travel in reserve for when you need it. But to pigeon-hole it as a point-and-shoot machine would be a disservice as it is so much more capable than this might suggest. Due to the way that it uses its travel; the Giga gives you the feel of a big bike, yet the versatility of a modern super-enduro bike. The Giga has a dynamic and confidence-inspiring ride to help you push your limits in all kinds of terrain. It’s equally at home at big mountain technical enduro stages of venues like La Thuile, as it is lapping the biggest lines in the Whistler bike park. Supportive, Controlled and Progressive Suspension Performance The suspension is designed to be super supple off the top, whilst being supportive in the mid-stroke and progressive throughout the rest of the travel. The anti-squat is optimised to ensure the Giga descends like a hooligan yet behaves itself on the climb back to the top for the next run. The suspension platform is based on the same horseshoe driven linkage as Nukeproof’s award-winning Dissent downhill frame, albeit now with a 2-stage main pivot flip-chip. Using an eccentric axle system, riders can alter the Kinematic progressivity, so the bike can be tailored to suit the conditions on the trail with only an 8mm Allen key. Setting 1 = 25.5% progression Setting 2 = 29% progression Both settings have a super supple beginning for small bump compliance. They also both have good mid-stroke support for better cornering and pumping. Like the Dissent, the progression drops off in the end stroke to prevent mid-stroke harshness or spiking and allows more tuning options with volume spacers. The + Progressive setting can be used to add shock progression on a coil set up just like adding a volume spacer to an air shock. The added suppleness is also good in wet and slippery conditions. Robust and Lightweight Carbon Fibre Frameset The Giga Frame is constructed completely from UD 700/800 Carbon fibre. This allowed Nukeproof to optimise the stiffness and compliance of the frame parts individually. The front triangle has been tailored for stability and precision, whilst the rear triangle was designed for compliance to help tracking and provide grip. Another bonus of the carbon rear triangle is that it has a lower un-sprung mass for ultimate suspension performance. To ensure a perfectly dialled fit Nukeproof now offer 297 bikes in S, M, or L sizes and 290 bikes in M, L, XL or XXL. The frame geometry is Long, Low, Slack and Steep as it is based around their saddle offset principle, which ensures the seated riding position is tailored across all sizes, with steeper seat angles on bigger frames. The Seat tube is also designed for maximum seat post insertion to allow maximum drop. Fox Performance Suspension and Shimano SLX 12-Speed Groupset Nukeproof’s Elite Range features suspension performance from the awesome Fox 38 Performance Fork and X2 performance rear shock. The drivetrain is from Shimano’s wide-ranging 10-51 SLX 12-Speed groupset. Stopping power is provided by Shimano’s SLX 4-Pot hydraulic disc brakes. The all-carbon frame rolls on Nukeproof’s award-winning Horizon V2 wheels wrapped in Maxxis Tubeless tyres, giving it top-class speed, stability and traction for all weather and terrain conditions. Water Bottle and Accessory Mounts and Integrated Rear Mudguard The Giga is also sculptured to fit a 750ml water bottle (carbon bottle cage included) as well as an accessory mount under the top tube for emergency trail tools. All models also feature an integrated rear mudguard and plenty of clearance for up to 2.5” tyres. The frames feature a clear paint protection kit as standard with 3D contoured rubber downtube, seat and chainstay protection. The Nukeproof GIGA: Gluttony is not a sin. Nukeproof Reactor 290 RS Carbon Bike (X01 Eagle) Full Suspension Mountain Bikes
  • £4499.99
  • RRP £5999.99
  • Saving you £25

From concept through to design, Kinematics, geometry and specification, the RS model is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It's the hooligan option in the Reactor range, with a host of upgrades to make it burlier than the rest. It features a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate RC2 forks (150mm) up front, a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RCT rear shock and Nukeproof's award-winning carbon handlebars. There's also 4 Pot SRAM Code RSC disc brakes (with sintered pads), a SRAM ASX Eagle 12-Speed wireless drivetrain with Carbon X1 Cranks and DT Swiss XM1700 Spline 30 wheelset. Frame Construction: To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the Reactor Carbon frame features a full UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Including chain and seat stays). It is available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. These are two totally different, compromise-free frames that were designed and developed at the same time.  Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size. Speed or play: which do you value more? The manoeuvrability of 27.5” or the raw speed of a 29”? Adjustable Geometry: All Reactor frames feature a “flip chip” to adjust the geometry from “Trail” to “Rail mode”. Trail – As the name suggests, this setting is best suited for trail riding. It is for riders who get as much enjoyment from the climb as the descents. Rail - The Rail setting turns the Reactor into a corner shredder, dropping the bottom bracket 6mm and slackening the head angle by half a degree. It is there to maximise the descending capabilities. Suspension Design: To ensure the bike could climb as well as it descends, Nukeproof designed the 4 bar horst linkage to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but lower levels when you drop down the cassette. This means that the bike can behave itself on the climbs but when you get it up to speed, it turns into a trail hooligan. The combination of low anti-squat and progressive rate give ultimate small bump compliance (removes rough trail and root chatter) with good mid stroke support for cornering/pumping and end stroke progression for aggressive riding. Balanced anti-rise figures allow the Reactor some squat when braking hard, maintaining rider position and providing a good amount of pressure through the tyre to ensure traction. The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor in on any ride. Nukeproof Megawatt 297 Comp Alloy Bike (Deore) Electric Mountain Bikes
  • £4499.99
  • RRP £4999.99
  • Saving you £10

This is an electrically powered mountain bike that's fitted with Shimano STEPS EP8 electric motor drive system and a Shimano Deore 12-Speed groupset to power you across the mountain range. It also features a wide-ranging 10-51-tooth cassette, SRAM DB8 hydraulic disc brakes and a Brand-X Ascend internal dropper seatpost. Nukeproof has equipped it with a mixed-wheel-size platform (29"" front wheel / 27.5"" rear wheel) that offers a balance of rolling speed, agility and control. The wheels used are Sun-Ringle Duroc SD37 Comp wheels wrapped in high-grip Maxxis Assegai Wide Trail Tubeless Ready tyres. Since 2009 the Nukeproof Mega has been on a journey of constant development. From iteration to iteration, small incremental improvements gradually add up to become today’s thoroughbred Enduro race bike: The Mega V4. All things considered; you could forgive the team for resting on their laurels. Bike design and technology must move fast to keep up with the evolving demands of our customers. If you don’t keep up, then you get left behind. The Megawatt is Nukeproof’s first E-Bike, and it has won over the media with its agile handling, impressive suspension and balanced geometry. The top priority for Nukeproof was to partner with the right specialist; a brand that could offer leading-edge technology to help create ultra-competitive products whilst having the infrastructure in place to support customers during ownership. Shimano STEPS EP8 Electric Motor Drive Unit Using the latest Shimano STEPS EP8 system, the Megawatt has the torque, range, and performance to wear the Mega name. The Megawatt was developed alongside the latest Mega V4. This ensured that the geometry, packaging and suspension were optimised to perform and held no compromises. The Megawatt exceeds expectations with its descending performance and benefits from the combination of awesome geometry and the Shimano EP8 assistance to climb back to the top for more. Mullet Wheel Standard: 29" Front and 27.5" Rear Wheel Whilst humans may not have changed size much in recent years; the bikes they choose to ride most certainly have. To ensure a perfectly dialled fit we now offer the 297 bikes in S, M, L, XL and XXL. With a 29” wheel up front, maximises grip and rolling efficiency whilst the 27.5” wheel out back, allows the bike to run shorter chainstays to ensure nimble handling and maximise manoeuvrability. The rear chainstays also benefit from a 3D moulded chain guard to keep the frame protected and running quiet allowing you to concentrate on the trail ahead. Modern Enduro Inspired Race Geometry Lower, longer, steeper and slacker. Our new geometry is now designed around the saddle offset for each size to optimise seated weight distribution. This results in steeper seat angles across the board but especially on larger sizes for taller riders. This in turn results in longer reach figures to ensure a comfortable cockpit of each size. To further aid the perfect fit we have also used shorter seat tubes which are designed to maximise seat post insertion depths. Finally, all new Mega bikes are now designed to use short offset forks to further improve both climbing and descending capabilities. Progressive, Supple and Supportive 4-Bar Horst Suspension Platform To step-change the Mega’s suspension design we went back to the drawing board and started afresh. We redesigned the Mega 4 bar horst linkage to be super supple over small bumps, progressive and supportive throughout the mid-stoke for support when pedalling, cornering and pumping, with increased end stroke leverage to allow more tuning options with volume spacers. The new kinematic is designed to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but this reduces as you drop down the cassette. The result is a bike that is more confidence-inspiring everywhere on the hill. It behaves itself on the climbs; yet can still be thrashed through the roughest and most technical terrain on the way back down. The new Mega also has a wide SAG range (30%-35%) to allow you; the rider, to tune the characteristics of the bike to your preferences. Durable and Lightweight Alloy Frame with Internal Battery The Megawatt was designed from the outset to optimise the performance of the Shimano EP8 Motor and battery. Crafted from hydroformed 6061 aluminium, the Megawatt shares some characteristics and tube shapes with its Mega sibling but features several notable differences. An all-new one-piece cast Bottom Bracket shell has been engineered to house the Shimano Steps EP8 Motor. The downtube to has been designed to maximise strength and rigidity whilst providing easy access to remove the internal battery for charging or transportation. The Megawatt is offered in three specifications; Comp, Elite or Factory, to suit your riding needs and budget. Please see individual specs for full details. The Factory and Elite use a 630Wh Shimano battery, whilst the Comp uses a 504Wh battery. Both battery sizes will fit in each model with a secure and easy-to-flip mount system in all models. All bikes include a Shimano battery charger and adaptor to allow both on-bike and off-the-bike charging using either the Euro or UK charging cables included. Internal Frame Cable Routing Featuring entry points in the frame's downtube, the downtube of the frame has internal routing for the dropper cable, rear brake line, SD50 wires and gearing. This ensures a more user-friendly E-Bike for general maintenance and upgrading of components. The Megawatt: A Mega V4 with an engine. Designed so you can maximise the amount of time spent descending by getting you back to the top faster, again and again (and again). Please Note: This E-Bike (electric bike) has a max assisted speed of 25 km/h / 15.5 mph Please Also Note: The product images shown here are representative only, please reference the description for updated cable routing. Over the years we have tested a lot of e bikes but there was never any bike that truly stole our team’s heart. It took us a while to figure out what kind of bike we want to make for NS.We ask ourselves what makes an e-bikes great? Well, if we put the motor aside for a moment, it all comes down to the bike’s geometry and suspension, and these are the main points that we focused on. We looked for a geometry that works best on a motor assisted bike – and it’s not necessarily the same as on our “analog” products. The geometry must be complemented by suspension that works perfectly on a bike that is inherently heavier than a normal mtb, and the tires, brakes and cockpit all need to have more of a “moto” character. Back to the motor: there are no “bad” drive units on the market these days. What we think is critical for our customers is reliability and easily accessible service if something goes wrong. That’s why we chose to work with the Shimano. Our brands share similar values and Shimano offers excellent customer service around the globe. Everyone loved the new EP8 motor from Shimano. It kicks in seamlessly and its weight and size has been reduced significantly. It’s almost 400g lighter than its predecessor, the e8000. The second important feature is that Shimano cut drag by 50%. It’s now almost comparable to a muscle powered drivetrain. One of the key things we noticed is that the ns crew doesn’t dig wimpy rides. So, we made sure that the e-fine is a big, burly machine. It’s fitted with the excellent Rockshox fork with 170mm of travel, powerful brakes and aggressive tires. Other essential features of the drive unit include improved ground clearance, low Q-factor and new short cranks (160mm). All this means that we could make the BB really low without fear of pedal strikes. Just in case, we included an option to adjust the heigh of the bb to suit personal preferences). So, have we succeeded in making an e bike that all the guys in our team would love? Well, even the most die-hard dirt jumpers in our company are lining up to borrow a prototype for a weekend of shredding, which is something that we haven’t seen with other e bikes that have been laying around the office. Our team riders love the e fine, our close friends who would never consider going electric are changing their minds. Honestly, we believe we have achieved our goal.
