NS has armed it with 160mm-travel RockShox 35 Gold forks and an X-Fusion coil rear shock to soak up the hits and knocks from rough terrain while maintaining exceptional control and traction. To keep the perfect balance of rolling speed, agility and grip, the E-Fine rolls upon a a 29" front and a 27.5" rear wheel. It took them a while to figure out what kind of bike they want to make for NS Bikes.All Terrain Optimised E-Bike PerformanceThey asked themselves, what makes an E-Bike great. If they put the motor on the side for a moment, it all comes down to the bike’s geometry and suspension, and these are the main points that they focused on. They looked for a geometry that works best on a motor assisted bike – and that is one that is not necessarily the same as on their Analog bikes. The geometry must be complemented by suspension that works perfectly on a bike that is inherently heavier than a normal mountain bike (MTB), and the tyres, brakes and cockpit all need to have more of a “moto” character.Back to the motor: there are no “bad” motor drive units on the market these days. What NS Bikes think is critical for their customers is reliability and easily accessible service if something goes wrong. That’s why they chose to work with Shimano. They have similar values as NS Bikes combined with excellent customer service all over the world.One of the key things NS noticed is that the NS crew doesn’t dig wimpy rides. So, NS made sure that the E-Fine is a big, burly machine. It’s fitted with the excellent SRAM 35 Gold RL fork, a coil shock and aggressive tyres. To make sure everyone could feel comfortable on the E-Fine they included an option to adjust the heigh of the bottom bracket to suit personal riding preferences.Even the most die-hard dirt jumpers, bike park riders and downhill racers in the NS Bikes company are lining up to borrow a prototype for a weekend of shredding – something that they haven’t seen previously with other E-Bikes that have been laying around in their office. Their team riders love the E-Fine, their close friends who would never consider going electric are changing their minds.
