Go ahead try and find something that’ll put a bigger smile on your face than absolutely smashing the perfect line on a fast capable hardtail. The Epic Hardtail Expert exists to make that smile even bigger—and to make sure your face gets just as hard of a workout as your legs.Working towards the lightest bike possible has long been the race within the race but at what cost? The battle of the grams certainly hasn’t been without its casualties with hardtail XC race bikes coming to stand for a harsh twitchy ride at the expense of capability and versatility. But who said fatigue from fighting against your own bike makes you any faster? Instead recognizing that the fastest bike is more than simply the lightest bike we said out with the jarred-to-death tail the measure-your-posterior’s-sorrows-by-the-yard tail and in with the avant-garde tail. The ridiculously capable mystifyingly comfortable head-shakingly light and all-around fast Epic Hardtail. Sure we optimized every inch of the Epic Hardtail frame to achieve the lightest production hardtail frame in the world anyway but we also prioritized our commitment to creating an Epic Hardtail that’s as capable as it is comfortable with aggressive singletrack-inspired geometry increased tire clearance and a frame obsessively engineered for increased vertical compliance all while creating a bike that lives and breathes the fundamentals of fast. The Epic Hardtail Expert's RockShox SID SL BRAIN fork offers 100 millimeters of incredibly efficient travel in a lightweight package while Roval's lightweight yet tough Control Carbon wheelset and a wide-range SRAM 12-speed group round out the lightweight build. Ridiculously capable incredibly light and refreshingly comfortable the Epic Hardtail’s dropper-post friendly FACT 11m carbon frame rewrites the hardtail playbook with game-changing success. The 100mm-travel RockShox SID SL BRAIN fork is firm when you want it firm and plush when you want it plush—no levers required. Descending from a long World Cup lineage hand-built Roval Control Carbon wheels feature a modern 29-millimeter internal-width hookless rim and maximize strength ride quality and durability while keeping weight to a minimum. From concept through to design, the Kinematics, the geometry and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It is at home on technical climbs, but happiest when thrashing the most technical trails you can point it at. The RS model is the hooligan spec option in the range, with a host of upgrades to make it burlier than the rest. It features a +10mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate RC2 forks (160mm) up front, a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RCT rear shock, our award-winning carbon handlebars, 4 Pot Code RSC brakes (With Sintered Pads), a SRAM ASX Eagle Drive chain with Carbon X1 Cranks and DT Swiss XM1700 Spline 30 wheelset. Frame Construction: To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the Reactor Carbon frame features a full UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Including chain and seat stays). It is available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. These are two totally different, compromise free frames that were designed and developed at the same time. Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size. Speed or play: which do you value more? The manoeuvrability of 27.5” or the raw speed of a 29”? Adjustable Geometry: All Reactor frames feature a “flip chip” to adjust the geometry from “Trail” to “Rail mode”. Trail – As the name suggests, this setting is best suited for trail riding. It is for riders who get as much enjoyment from the climb as the descents. Rail - The Rail setting turns the Reactor into a corner shredder, dropping the bottom bracket 6mm and slackening the head angle by half a degree. It is there to maximise the descending capabilities. Suspension Design: To ensure the bike could climb as well as it descends, Nukeproof designed the 4-bar horst linkage to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but lower levels when you drop down the cassette. This means that the bike can behave itself on the climbs but when you get it up to speed, it turns into a trail hooligan. The combination of low anti-squat and progressive rate give ultimate small bump compliance (removes rough trail and root chatter) with good mid stroke support for cornering/pumping and end stroke progression for aggressive riding. Balanced anti-rise figures allow the Reactor some squat when braking hard, maintaining rider position and providing a good amount of pressure through the tyre to ensure traction. The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor in on any ride. For over 10 years, Nukeproof's best-selling model, the Mega has been racking up awards on Enduro stages and in the press around the world. With 4 Enduro World Series titles to its name, the Mega has become an icon that is synonymous with racing. However, they never rest on their laurels with the introduction of the 4th generation Mega - Now available in an all-new mixed wheel size platform. World Class Enduro Race Bike Since 2009 the Nukeproof Mega has been on the constant path of development to meet the evolving demands of our riders and customers alike. The Nukeproof team are relentlessly striving for improvements and with each generation, the Mega has been chiselled and shaped into today’s thoroughbred Enduro race bike. With the launch of the Mega 290 Elite, you could forgive their designers for resting on their laurels. However, as Nukeproof products are developed between the tapes, there is a constant desire to hone and refine to give Nukeproof’s athletes and riders the best possible chance of standing on top of the podium. The Mega V4 is now available for 27.5”, 29” or new Mixed (Front 29”/Rear 27.5” wheel sizes) wheel setups, with each frame design tailored around each wheel size. The new mixed platform uses a 29” wheel up front to maximise grip and rolling efficiency whilst the 27.5” wheel out back, ensures nimble handling for manoeuvrability. Designed as an evolution of the ultimate Enduro bike, the Mega V4 has been fully reimagined to offer optimised sizing/fit, improved Geometry and suspension kinematics on a brand-new all-carbon chassis. Most importantly you can now fit a water bottle inside the main front triangle. Long-Travel Full Suspension Carbon Frame To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the Mega Carbon frame features a T700/800 UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Front and rear Triangle). The carbon swingarms help reduce the unsprung weight on the rear of the bike. It is available for 27.5”, 297 or 29” wheel sizes. These are totally different, compromise-free frames that were designed and developed at the same time. Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size so that you can get the most out of every ride. Updated Sizing and Geometry Whilst humans may not have changed size much in recent years; the bikes they choose to ride most certainly have. To ensure a perfectly dialled fit Nukeproof now offer the 297 bikes in S, M, or L sizes and the 290 bikes in M, L, XL or XXL. Lower, longer, steeper and slacker. The Mega geometry is designed around the saddle offset for each size to optimise seated weight distribution. This results in steeper seat angles across the board but especially on larger sizes for taller riders. This in turn results in longer reach figures to ensure a comfortable cockpit of each size. To further aid the perfect fit Nukeproof has also used shorter seat tubes designed to maximise seat post insertion depths. Finally, all Mega bikes are now designed to use short offset forks to improve climbing and descending capabilities. Progressive and Supportive Suspension Platform To step-change the Mega’s suspension design Nukeproof went back to the drawing board and started afresh. They have redesigned the Mega 4 bar horst linkage to be super supple over small bumps, progressive and supportive throughout the mid-stroke for support when pedalling, cornering and pumping, with increased end stroke leverage to allow more tuning options with volume spacers. The kinematic is designed to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but this reduces as you drop down the cassette. The result is a bike that is more confidence-inspiring everywhere on the hill. It behaves itself on the climbs yet can still be thrashed through the roughest and most technical terrain on the way back down. From concept through to design, the Kinematics, the geometry and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It is at home on technical climbs, but happiest when thrashing the most technical trails you can point it at.To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the Reactor Carbon frame features a full UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Including chain and seat stays). It is available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. These are two totally different, compromise free frames that were designed and developed at the same time. Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size.Speed or play: which do you value more? The manoeuvrability of 27.5” or the raw speed of a 29”?All Reactor frames feature a “flip chip” to adjust the geometry from “Trail” to “Rail mode”.Trail – As the name suggests, this setting is best suited for trail riding. It is for riders who get as much enjoyment from the climb as the descentsRail - The Rail setting turns the Reactor into a corner shredder, dropping the bottom bracket 6mm and slackening the head angle by half a degree. It is there to maximise the descending capabilities. To ensure the bike could climb as well as it descends, we designed the 4 bar horst linkage to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but lower levels when you drop down the cassette.
The secret of a really great bike? It should just get out of the way and let you enjoy the ride. That's why, for the Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SLX 750, we started by choosing a 150mm Fox 34 Rhythm fork and matching Float DPS Performance shock. Combined with a Newmen Performance wheelset and Schwalbe 2.6in tyres, it's the closest we can get to a magic carpet ride. Bosch's fourth-generation CX drive unit and high-capacity 750Wh battery deliver your power to the trail via Shimano's slick-shifting, legendarily reliable XT 1x12 transmission. And strong, progressive Shimano XT four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm rotors bring you safely to a stop, on demand. With a remote dropper post included in the mix, you simply need to add your spirit of adventure.Evolution never stops. That's why, across all frames in our SizeSplit system, the Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC now features the ability to house up to a 750Wh battery under its dust- and splash-proof cover. It means you can power the fourth-generation Bosch CX drive unit – with 85Nm of hill-devouring torque – on long rides, whatever frame size fits you best. The Boost 148 rear axle, large pivot bearings and All Mountain Geometry deliver assured handling, even when you're exploring the limits of the 140mm rear and 150mm front travel. Sram's UDH gear hanger helps protect against crash damage and is easily replaceable. And Integrated Cable Routing reduces maintenance and complements the clean lines of the full carbon main frame.
