Backing up the grip performance is the EXO Protection in the sidewall, which offers high puncture resistance for a reliable performance every time. Optimised for use on trail bikes with wider rims, this wider mountain bike tyre uses the same tread as on the DH version but has the extra weight and width to stand up to the most aggressive trail riding. Technologies: Dual Compound: Two compounds comprised of a hard, longer lasting centre and a softer gripping shoulder. EXO Protection: Maxxis EXO tyres feature an exceptional cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the tyre sidewalls. This densely woven fabric is very lightweight and is very flexible, which guarantees that the performance of the tyre is unaffected. The EXO Protection is a superb choice for rocky, aggressive and technical trails where the chance of sidewall cuts is high. Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tyres provide many benefits: they offer the ability to run lower air pressures, which dramatically improves traction; it provides a lower rolling resistance compared to when using tubes and a drastic reduction in the change of getting a flat tyre since there is no tube. Wide Trail (WT): This construction optimises the tyre tread layout and profile on today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres were designed for older, narrower rims which can lead to an overly square tyre profile, leading to inferior performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 30-35mm inner rim width, depending on the rider’s preference.

Whether you're into enduro racing or gravity riding on your mountain bike (MTB), this front-orientated tyre is engineered for fast, smooth and dependable rolling performance. It features a high-quality TriTec compound, which uses its three compounds to provide optimal levels of traction, support and durability as you tackle whatever the mountain throws at you. Ready for the more demanding of terrain conditions, this version also comes equipped with SG2 puncture protection that defends all surfaces of the tyre by providing an uninterrupted layer of protection from bead to bead. Coming complete with Tubeless Compatible System (TCS) technology, it offers tubeless benefits such as the ability to run lower tyre pressures for increased stability, comfort and fewer chances of flats or punctures. MTB Tyre with TCS Tubeless Technology The Verdict is WTB's most aggressive front-focused tyre. The tyre of choice when relentless traction takes priority over rolling efficiency. Designed to dig in every way, the flat profile of the Verdict keeps chunky outer knobs shovelling at all times. Paired to a substantial intermediate channel, this ensures numerous knob edges are biting into the trail while beginning to lean or fully in it. Abundant open space between all knobs allows the Verdict to dig through the driest days of summer and fling mud in the wettest months of spring. The Verdict is guilty of holding it down through off-camber corners and chundery descents. Technologies: TriTec Compound: Three compounds provide optimal levels of traction, support and durability. A base of high durometer rubber supports the entire tread and transitions into the knobs to prevent folding or squirming. Medium stiffness center knobs cap the base layer to provide traction and durability without sacrificing rolling efficiency, while soft compound side knobs deliver maximum grip and slow rebound for increased cornering traction. SG2: SG2 defends all surfaces of a tyre by providing an uninterrupted layer of puncture protection from bead to bead. TCS Light Casing: One layer of supple, gram-conscious casing conforms to the terrain to provide maximum performance, exceptional reliability and low rotational weight. TCS Light/High Grip: Glue-like conforming rubber wrapped onto a gram-conscious casing designed to be compliant while still trail-worthy. Who says High Grip needs to be heavy? Tubeless Compatible System (TCS): TCS is WTB's standardised tubeless rim/tyre system designed to meet international ETRTO standards and provide the most reliable tubeless system available. Pairing WTB’s legendary casings and tread compounds with a Tubeless Folding bead delivers the increased traction and reliability of a tubeless tyre at a lower weight than any tubed alternative. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tyres are the only Maxxis tyres approved for use with liquid sealants. 3C Maxx Terra An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. 3C Maxx Terra is softer and offers more traction than 3C Maxx Speed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than Maxx Grip.
Technical solutions: - Specific bi compounds tread, developed to ensure an unbelievable wear resistance, and yet grip on the angle. Combination of the reliable 110 TPI carcass fabric, and bead-to-bead breaker ensure a great resistance to road hazards and also from cuts and wear. HD Protection Bead2Bead The HD Protection Bead2Bead technology consists of a High Density crossed fibre reinforcement which protects the full casing of the tyre. The crown as well as the sidewall of the tyre are strengthened to assure maximum of protection and longevity. Michelin tyres benefiting from the technology HD Protection Bead2Bead are particularly adapted to demanding cyclist that is in search of the best compromise in puncture protection, longevity and weight. Bi Compound The Technology Bi-compound, has two different rubber compounds within the tread area. The rubber compound in the centre of the tread assures the optimal transmission of torque, that traction when pedaling or when braking. These rubber compounds are designed and optimised to increase resistance to wear, but also help braking safely on wet ground. The rubber compound at the shoulder area of the tread brings maximum performance and safety when leaning into a curve or turn giving exceptional levels of grip on dry as well as wet surfaces. Technology Bi-Compound was invented in 1995 and Michelin R&D continues to improve year after year the performance of this rubber compound and proposes them in many road tyres giving the benefit of this technology, for maximum of grip and resistance to wear for the demanding cyclist.
This gravel bike tyre features a smooth centreline with a herringbone outer tread, which makes it more than capable of handling all the intensity that comes with riding across mixed terrains. Its rounded profile with vertical channels also enhances its cornering characteristics, so you can benefit from excellent handling when pedalling into bends. Coming kitted out with WTB's Dual DNA compound, this model delivers a fast-rolling centreline with great corning traction. High Volume Gravel Bike Tyre Horizon brings supple plus-size traction and smooth riding characteristics beyond where the pavement ends. This high-volume 650b tyre pairs an all-weather herringbone pattern with parallel grooves to improve cornering traction on crumbling tarmac and increase comfort on hardpack. The Horizon provides deceivingly elegant performance on pavement, with a resilience that isn’t shaken by chasing confidants down dusty roads. The Horizon creates a new riding experience, regardless of where your exploits lead you. SG2 Puncture Protection These tyres are available with WTB's SG2 Puncture Protection, which is a lightweight nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage and ensures every area of the tyre is defended against slashes and punctures. As events become progressively rougher and cyclists pedal farther, gravel gets tougher. It only makes sense for gravel tyres to become tougher as well. Technologies: Dual DNA Compound: Two rubber compounds. The centerline tread features a firmer rubber compound that rolls fast and resists tread wear while the side knobs are composed of softer, slower-rebounding rubber to improve control and grip. All Dual DNA tyres fall within the Fast Rolling category. SG2 Puncture Protection: Nylon fibres have a flat profile, which reduces the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between fibres and minimises weight. Protected SG2 gravel tyres feature a 120tpi casing, which improves suppleness compared to a traditional 60tpi tyre. SG2 was specifically designed to be a puncture protection layer, but it also improves air retention and eliminates seeping at the sidewall. Tyre Pressure Information: WTB's tyre pressure recommendations have changed over time due to further developments in technology. Riders may always reference the markings on their tyres for allowed pressures ranges, but WTB calculate pressure recommendations based on an average rider weight of 160-180 lbs and suggest increasing the minimum recommended pressure by 2-3psi for every additional 10 lbs of rider weight. Never exceed the maximum tyre pressure marked on a tyre. Manufacturer's Part Number: W010-0842

Please Note: This tyre is listed as a clincher tyre, but it is a specific tyre of tyre that brings you the benefits of a tubular tyre, that is only compatible with clincher type rims. It is called a "tubular clincher" type tyre and cannot be used on tubular rims. The thinner tread of this road bike tyre also lowers rolling resistance while the tyre is maintaining ideal shock absorption properties and high puncture resistance. How Does the Tubular Clincher Tyre Work? When inflated, the tubular clincher (see image below), in the same way as a tubular, is pressed towards the rim. Simultaneously, the bead blocks of the profiled rubber band spread out embedding on the rim shoulders and eliminating any rotation of the tubular clincher against the rim as well as the possibility of the tubular clincher unseating. As the tubular clincher is inflated, the band side literally 'bite' into the rim shoulders. Benefits of Tufo's tubular clincher tyres: high inflation pressures - up to 15 bars (220 psi) without any damage to the rim walls, even in a case when the rim manufacturer specifies lower inflation pressures (the pressure is contained inside the tubular clincher and does not affect the rim wall), same riding quality as with tubular tyres, safe handling in case of punctures (the stability of a rider is not affected), the tubular clincher can be ridden when flat, and the fastest and easiest installation and dismantling without any tools.
This tyre features a central ramped tread profile for easily acceleration, as well as aggressive side knobs for superb grip on corners and technical trail sections. This tyre is engineered to be robust, reliable and dependable - the Grifo is a very worthy addition to your racing/training arsenal. Classed as one of the best all-around cyclocross tyres every created by Challenge, this tyre excels in wet, dry, soft packed, rocky and root-infested course conditions Technologies: Vulcanized Tubeless Ready (VTR): The highest level of performance offered by car, truck and motorcycle tyre manufacturers is a vulcanized tubeless system. While this is an old technology for cars and trucks, for bicycles it is relatively new and did not even have an internationally accepted design standard (ISO or ETRTO) until recent years. By eliminating the inner tube it is possible to lower the weight and create a softer, more comfortable, more efficient, lower rolling resistance tyre system by running lower tyre pressure. Challenge started introducing Vulcanized Tubeless Ready (VTR) tyres in recent years because the ISO and ETRTO standards for proper VTR tire and rim fit have finally been completed. These standards ensure your safety and your ability to fit and service the tyres with hand tools.
