Commencal Meta SX Ride Suspension BikeThe Meta SX Ride is a true enduro race machine that is built around the idea that optimising the bike gets you better results and ensures a more enjoyable trail riding experience. The SX Ride offers 160mm of rear-wheel travel controlled by a RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock and upfront, it has a hard-hitting RockShox ZEB suspension fork with 170mm travel. Commencal has also fitted it with a slick-shifting SRAM SX Eagle 12-Speed groupset with a wide-ranging 11-50T cassette and SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brake - all while rolling upon 29" E13 LG1 DH Base rims wrapped in Maxxis Assegai and DHR II tyres. This stylish full suspension enduro race bike is ideal for off-piste all-mountain exploring, alpine freeride routes and the rigours of long-distance enduro race events.Mullet Wheel Standard - 29" Front Wheel and 27.5" Rear WheelCommencal has been working on 29/27 'Mullet' bikes and frames for many years now with their different downhill (DH) teams. This work has allowed Commencal to understand that to transform a regular bike with the same sized wheels into a bike with different sized wheels, it isn't effective to just throw a 27-inch wheel on the back. The geometry and kinematics of the bike must be completely reworked, and it is thanks to this experience that we are now able to present the most successful version of the META V4 they've ever produced, the Meta SX.Equipping this Meta SX with different sized 29/27-inch wheels is not the result of a trend that Commencal is following. Quite simply, this way the bike is much more balanced, specifically relating to grip on the front and back - the large 29-inch wheel on the front allows more confidence and rolling capacity whilst the 27.5-inch rear wheel offers more manoeuvrability and responsiveness. The result is a bike that is more agile and easier on the steeps, more efficient under braking and more dynamic when pushing hard. Once again, Commencal's choice to work with Aluminium has allowed them to accompany this change in wheel size with an adjustment of the geometry. A shorter 10mm reach, a straightened steerer angle and extended (10mm) chainstays mean that the rider is naturally repositioned in the centre of the bike and will therefore be more precise and agile in their technique.Lively, Progressive and Stable Enduro Optimised SuspensionUndoubtedly, one of the points that have changed the most is the way the suspension works. Apart from the kinematics, which have been reworked to provide more liveliness, Commencal made a point of managing the stiffness of the rear triangle. Through new double row Enduro Bearings, eliminating any deformation, the Meta SX frame offers perfect deformation/rigidity management to provide grip, comfort, and performance.Easy Adjustable Flip Chip Suspension SystemIn addition to all this in-depth work, as on their Meta Power TR and Meta TR models, Commencal now offers a "Flip Chip" on the shock extension in order to be able to better adjust the geometry, and therefore fit with your style. This system also means you can adapt the height of the bottom bracket as well as the steerer and saddle angles within seconds. Depending on your preferences, you can have the choice between a dynamic bike that's perfect for big pedalling trips, or a more progressive version that is ideal for days in the bike park or on more committed trails. Stylish Welds and Convenient Cable RoutingThe welds have been the subject of meticulous work to reduce them as much as possible without affecting the solidity of the frame. The cable routing is neat for easier maintenance, the cables being easily accessible in the down tube, while grommets are placed at the ends to give perfect support and prevent penetration of water and mud. Installing a bottle cage has also been made easy. Features: Frame: Meta SX, 160mm travel, 29''-27.5'', Alloy 6066, triple butted tubes, T4, T6. Nukeproof Dissent 297 COMP Alloy Bike (GX DH) Full Suspension Mountain Bikes
  • £2449.99
  • RRP £3499.99
  • Saving you £30

The Dissent 297 Comp features superb components and a 297 mixed-wheel standard. With a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" rear, this downhill (DH) bike rolls fast and stable through rough terrain while staying agile and playful. Nukeproof has equipped it with long-travel RockShox Boxxer Select forks, a Super Deluxe Coil Select rear shock and a SRAM GX DH 7-Speed groupset. This groupset includes a SRAM Descendant DH chainset, a downhill-specific GX DH 7-Speed 11-25T cassette and SRAM Guide RE hydraulic disc brakes. It also rolls upon Sun-Ringle Duroc SD37 wheels wrapped in Tubeless Ready Michelin DH22 2.4"-wide tyres. “It makes me want to race some World Cups again” - Sam Hill Racing is in Nukeproof's DNA. It comes from being developed and tested in conjunction with the world’s fastest racers. Suspension design and frame details: The Dissent platform was originally conceived by Nukeproof engineers as a concept to test several progression curve theories at once. However, in turning the theory into reality, we created something much better than expected, and the prototype won on its international debut at Crankworx festival’s Garbanzo Downhill race with Sam Hill. Adjustable Suspension Main Pivot Flip Chip It is not uncommon for different World Cup riders to want a slightly different characteristic to one another depending on factors such as their riding style and whether they run flat pedals or not. The Dissent takes this into account with an adjustable main pivot flip-chip, designed to essentially work like a bottomless token for a coil shock. The Dissent Frame now offers riders the choice of 4 main pivot positions, which alter how progressive the suspension is. Cleverly the geometry and travel do not change between positions. Note: The sag difference between each setting is around 1% so you should not need a different spring rate. The Main pivot flip chips are fast and simple to change and offer a tailored factory set up for every rider. Further custom tuning can be done via new 3 position adjustable chainstay that features interchangeable dropout inserts. The chainstay flip chips allow you to alter the wheelbase by 5-10mm depending on the type of track you’re riding, your height or riding style. The combination of frame adaptability, a custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium tubeset, a confidence-inspiring 63-degree head angle and 200mm of travel via our new Dissent platform make this bike the privateers dream. The centrally-positioned shock and linkage system ensure optimum handling while other features include a true 1.5” head tube, ISCG 05 mounts and a 157mm x 12mm rear axle to keep things stable at the rear. Nukeproof Giga 297 Carbon Mountain Bike Frame (Push Shock) Full Sus Mountain Bike Frames
  • £2479.99
  • RRP £3099.99
  • Saving you £20

The Giga 297 Carbon Push offers the best of both modern wheel sizes for an exceptional balance of super-enduro performance. Designed to offer exceptional rolling efficiency and all-terrain control with a 29" wheel at the front and a 27.5" wheel at the rear, this long-travel full suspension frame is fast, stable and playful for any terrain, anywhere on Earth. This variant is armed with a highly-adjustable 180mm rear travel Push Industries rear shock that features market-leading suspension technology and ultra-responsive compression and rebound damping. Intended for use with 180mm-travel suspension forks and is compatible with modern Boost wheels and drivetrain components, this frame also features internal dropper post cable routing and is compatible with 200mm disc brake rotors. GLUTTONY – HABITUAL GREED OR EXCESS. As riders, we are all guilty of the gluttonous sin; we never stop striving, never stop pushing, and enough is never enough in the hunt for the ultimate. It’s a constant push for bigger, longer, rougher and faster with ever-increasing demands on the performance and capabilities of our bike. The pursuit is endless, and the result is that the Giga frame is now available for 27.5”, 29” or new Mixed (Front 29”/Rear 27.5” wheel sizes) wheel setups. It’s a motto that athletes like Sam Hill live by. The new Nukeproof Giga is the embodiment of this idea; Designed to be the ultimate hard-hitting Super-Enduro weapon for when you just need more. Long Travel Full Suspension Super Enduro Frame The Giga is a seriously capable machine, with 180mm (27.5” or 29”/27.5”) or 170mm (29”) rear travel; the Giga is a monster truck of a bike that has travel in reserve for when you need it. But to pigeonhole it as a point-and-shoot machine would be a disservice as it is so much more capable than this might suggest! Due to the way that it uses its travel; the Giga gives you the feel of a big bike, yet the versatility of a modern super-enduro bike. The Giga has a dynamic and confidence-inspiring ride to help you push your limits in all kinds of terrain. It’s equally at home at big mountain technical enduro stages of venues like La Thuile, as it is lapping the biggest lines in the Whistler bike park. The suspension is designed to be super supple off the top, whilst being supportive in the mid-stroke and progressive throughout the rest of the travel. The anti-squat is optimised to ensure the Giga descends like a hooligan yet behaves itself on the climb back to the top for the next run. Adjustable Suspension Platform The suspension platform is based on the same horseshoe-driven linkage as our award-winning Dissent downhill frame, albeit now with a 2-stage main pivot flip-chip. Using an eccentric axle system, riders can alter the Kinematic progressivity; so, the bike can be tailored to suit the conditions on the trail with only an 8mm Allen key. Setting 1 = 25.5% progression Setting 2 = 29% progression Both settings have a super supple beginning for small bump compliance. They also both have good mid-stroke support for better cornering and pumping. Like the Dissent, the progression drops off in the end stroke to prevent mid-stroke harshness or spiking and allows more tuning options with volume spacers. The + Progressive setting can be used to add shock progression on a coil set up just like adding a volume spacer to an air shock. The added suppleness is also good in wet and slippery conditions. Stiff, Strong and Lightweight Carbon Construction The Giga Frame is constructed completely from UD 700/800 Carbon fibre. This allowed Nukeproof to optimise the stiffness and compliance of the frame parts individually. The front triangle has been tailored for stability and precision, whilst the rear triangle was designed for compliance to help tracking and provide grip. Another bonus of the carbon rear triangle is that it has a lower un-sprung mass for ultimate suspension performance. Long, Low and Slack Modern Enduro Geometry Available in Small to XXL for 27.5” wheels, Small to Large for MX wheels (Front 29”/Rear 27.5” wheel sizes) and Medium to XXL for 29” wheels, there is the perfect option for everyone. The new mixed platform uses a 29” wheel up front to maximise grip and rolling efficiency whilst the 27.5” wheel out back, ensures nimble handling for manoeuvrability. The frame geometry is Long, Low, Slack and Steep as it is based around our saddle offset principle, which ensures the seated riding position is tailored across all sizes, with steeper seat angles on bigger frames. The Seat tube is also designed for maximum seat post insertion to allow maximum drop. Integrated Rear Mud Guard and 2.6" Tyre Clearance The Giga is also sculptured to fit a 750ml water bottle (carbon bottle cage included) as well as an accessory mount under the top tube for emergency trail tools. All models also feature an integrated rear mudguard and plenty of clearance for up to 2.6” tyres. The frames feature a clear paint protection kit as standard with 3D contoured rubber downtube, seat and chain stay protection. The Nukeproof GIGA: Gluttony is not a sin. You can find a document here that will help you get your Push Elevensix shock setup, and ready to ride. Strong, Durable and Lightweight Alloy Frame Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout Kona's fleet of mountain and road bikes. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. Much of Kona's 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing’s wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so they can fine-tune a particular frame’s strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application. Progressive and Responsive Beamer Independent Suspension Platform Built to be off-the-top progressive, Beamer Independent Suspension (Beamer IS) helps the bike to stay higher in the travel and recover from hits more quickly. The Operators are instilled with what our product managers like to call “pure shock movement”, whereby the shock is protected from side load. Designed to be highly tuneable and extremely durable, the Beamer IS is Kona's version of greased lightning. Kona 6061 Aluminium Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout Kona's fleet of mountain and asphalt bicycles. An internal headset also reduces stack height, so the height of the stem and bars are more adjustable, giving the rider the best fit possible Tapered Headtube More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain. A zero-stack, tapered head tube also puts strength where the load is going—into the lower headset cup—maximizing bearing durability where it’s needed Tubeless Compatible Rims Tubeless rims allow for tyres with more puncture resistance; the ability to run lower tyre pressure, which provides better tyre grip on the trail; lower rolling resistance; and weight savings over traditional tube and tyre systems 12x148mm Thru Axle 12x142mm, 12x148 and 12x157 rear axle standards provide two major advantages to the rider: the 12mm diameter of the rear axle provides the rear hub and frame with a stiff interface, while the 142/148/157mm outer diameter of the hub allows the wheel to be quickly and properly positioned in the frame before the rear axle is inserted. For 2017, you’ll see the 12x148 Boost standard in the mix. The Giga 290 Comp features a durable and lightweight carbon frame that's equipped with RockShox suspension and a Shimano 12-Speed groupset. This bike also rolls upon 29" wheels wrapped in wide tyres give you the confidence to hit larger features tackle rough terrain. RockShox Suspension and Shimano Deore 12-Speed Groupset This superbly priced high-quality enduro bike features an ultra-strong carbon frame, 180mm travel from a RockShox Domain suspension fork and a Super Deluxe Select rear shock. Ideal for steep descents and technical climbs, the Giga 290 Comp is powered onwards by a Shimano Deore 1x12-Speed groupset with a wide-ranging 10-51-tooth cassette and powerful hydraulic disc brakes. All this control and power is maintained thanks to fast spinning Sun-Ringle Duroc SD37 wheels wrapped in high-grip and ultra-reliable Maxxis Tubeless Ready tyres. Gluttony – Habitual Greed or Excess It’s a motto that athletes like Sam Hill live by. The new Nukeproof Giga is the embodiment of this idea; Designed to be the ultimate hard-hitting Super-Enduro weapon for when you just need more. As riders, we are all guilty of the gluttonous sin; we never stop striving, never stop pushing, enough is never enough in the hunt for the ultimate. It’s a constant push for bigger, longer, rougher and faster with ever-increasing demands on the performance and capabilities of our bike. The pursuit is endless. In its first year, the Giga frames have racked up numerous test wins and media awards, plus a whole heap of silverware at the races. Whatever the wheel size; the Giga is a seriously capable machine, with 180mm (27.5” or 29”/27.5”) or 170mm (29”) rear travel; the Giga is a monster truck of a bike that has travel in reserve for when you need it. But to pigeon-hole it as a point-and-shoot machine would be a disservice as it is so much more capable than this might suggest. Supportive, Controlled and Progressive Suspension Performance The suspension is designed to be super supple off the top, whilst being supportive in the mid-stroke and progressive throughout the rest of the travel. The anti-squat is optimised to ensure the Giga descends like a hooligan yet behaves itself on the climb back to the top for the next run. The suspension platform is based on the same horseshoe driven linkage as Nukeproof’s award-winning Dissent downhill frame, albeit now with a 2-stage main pivot flip-chip. Using an eccentric axle system, riders can alter the Kinematic progressivity, so the bike can be tailored to suit the conditions on the trail with only an 8mm Allen key. Robust and Lightweight Carbon Fibre Frameset The Giga Frame is constructed completely from UD 700/800 Carbon fibre. To ensure a perfectly dialled fit Nukeproof now offer the 297 bikes in S, M, or L sizes and the 290 bikes in M, L, XL or XXL. The frame geometry is Long, Low, Slack and Steep as it is based around their saddle offset principle, which ensures the seated riding position is tailored across all sizes, with steeper seat angles on bigger frames. The Seat tube is also designed for maximum seat post insertion to allow maximum drop. RockShox Suspension and Shimano Deore 12-Speed Groupset The Comp models feature suspension from RockShox Domain forks and a Super Deluxe Select rear shock with drive from Shimano Deore 1x12-Speed groupset with a 10-51T cassette and superb stopping power from hydraulic disc brakes. It also rolls upon Sun-Ringle Duroc SD37 wheels wrapped in high-grip and ultra-reliable Maxxis Tubeless Ready tyres. Water Bottle and Accessory Mounts and Integrated Rear Mudguard The Giga is also sculptured to fit a 750ml water bottle (carbon bottle cage included) as well as an accessory mount under the top tube for emergency trail tools. All models also feature an integrated rear mudguard and plenty of clearance for up to 2.5” tyres. The frames feature a clear paint protection kit as standard with 3D contoured rubber downtube, seat and chainstay protection. The Nukeproof GIGA: Gluttony is not a sin.
