The Process 134 27.5 is engineered with an alloy frame and it features Kona's beamer suspension platform giving it a superb blend of strength and control at low weight. This trail bike is at home on fast and steep technical descents while climbing efficiently thanks to minimal pedal-bob and grip-enhancing RockShox suspension setup. Kona has also fitted it with a Shimano Deore 1x11-Speed groupset with a wide-ranging 11-50T cassette and powerful Alhonga 474 hydraulic disc brakes. Shimano 11-Speed Drivetrain and RockShox Suspension The Kona Process 134 27.5 Suspension Bike is the perfect gateway to the Kona dual suspension experience for riders of any size. Running on a smooth-as-butter Shimano Deore 11-speed drivetrain, it’s a reliable climber but it really comes alive on the descents and over rough terrain. Its RockShox suspension front and rear keep the ride comfy and the new Trans-X +RAD adjustable dropper post allows for finding the perfect seat height with ease. Powerful and Versatile All-Terrain Performance This is an excellent bike for someone looking to dip their toe into full-suspension mountain biking. It’s affordable and capable of riding all kinds of terrain. Front and rear thru-axles, air suspension, and long travel droppers—it has everything a rider needs to get started with a modern frame that is ready to rip right out of the box. Strong, Durable and Lightweight Alloy Frame Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout Kona's fleet of mountain and road bikes. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. Much of Kona's 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing’s wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so they can fine-tune a particular frame’s strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application. Progressive and Responsive Beamer Independent Suspension Platform Built to be off-the-top progressive, Beamer Independent Suspension (Beamer IS) helps the bike to stay higher in the travel and recover from hits more quickly. The Operators are instilled with what our product managers like to call “pure shock movement”, whereby the shock is protected from side load. Designed to be highly tuneable and extremely durable, the Beamer IS is Kona's version of greased lightning. Kona 6061 Aluminium Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout Kona's fleet of mountain and asphalt bicycles. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. An internal headset also reduces stack height, so the height of the stem and bars are more adjustable, giving the rider the best fit possible Tapered Headtube More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain. A zero-stack, tapered head tube also puts strength where the load is going—into the lower headset cup—maximizing bearing durability where it’s needed Tubeless Compatible Rims Tubeless rims allow for tyres with more puncture resistance; the ability to run lower tyre pressure, which provides better tyre grip on the trail; lower rolling resistance; and weight savings over traditional tube and tyre systems 12x148mm Thru Axle 12x142mm, 12x148 and 12x157 rear axle standards provide two major advantages to the rider: the 12mm diameter of the rear axle provides the rear hub and frame with a stiff interface, while the 142/148/157mm outer diameter of the hub allows the wheel to be quickly and properly positioned in the frame before the rear axle is inserted. For 2017, you’ll see the 12x148 Boost standard in the mix. Boost spacing provides more tyre clearance at the chainstay yoke, while the rear wheel is stiffer and more durable relative to a 12x142 thru-axle Beamer Independent Suspension Platform Built to be off-the-top progressive, Beamer Independent Suspension helps the bike to stay higher in the travel and recover from hits more quickly. The Operators are instilled with what Kona product managers like to call “pure shock movement,” whereby the shock is protected from side load. Designed to be highly tuneable and extremely durable, the Beamer IS is Kona's version of greased lightning 27.5" (650b) Wheels The benefits of the 27.5-inch wheel are simple: they roll over obstacles and track better than 26-inch wheels, but are more manoeuvrable and nimble than 29-inch ones Built, Tuned and Ready to Ride Rest assured that each bike is fully built and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure your bike arrives in perfect condition. We supply all bikes with a set of plastic pedals, a pedal wrench and a multi-tool kit. Find out which size fits you by clicking the size chart tab. Please Note: Due to ongoing issues in the global bike supply chain, manufacturers may substitute certain component items due to availability. In this situation, they will be replaced with the same quality or better performing parts.
