Enhanced with X-Horizon shifting technology, the SRAM GX 11 speed rear derailleur eliminates ghost shifting and reduces shift force and chain slap. It also features the Cage Lock features, which locks the derailleur out of the way when removing and installing wheels to the process much easier. Technologies: Cage Lock: With Cage Lock technology in the rear derailleur, wheel removal and installation, as well as chain installation, becomes faster and simpler. Just pushing the cage forward to create slack and lock it into place. Roller Bearing Clutch: Roller Bearing Clutch (RBC) rear derailleurs deliver maximum drivetrain stability—even through the most punishing terrain. With RBC technology, derailleur bounce and chain slap are eliminated without sacrificing precision. X-Actuation: Developed specifically for SRAM 1X, X-Actuation keeps shifting sharp and consistent across the entire 10 to 42-tooth cassette. X-Horizon: The X-Horizon rear derailleur’s ‘straight parallelogram’ design limits all movement to the horizontal axis, which makes ghost shifting impossible while also reducing shift force. For quicker, more exact shifting, the large upper pulley offset design maintains a constant chain gap across all gears. X-Sync: SRAM X-Sync 1X chainrings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The SRAM X-Sync tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-Sync chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. WiFLi™ WiFLi = Wider - Faster - Lighter SRAM's WiFLi Technology is based on the compact 2 x 10 or 11 - two front chainrings and 10 or 11 gears in the rear - design inherent in SRAM RED 22, Force 22, Rival 22 and Apex, which delivers a wider range of gears, up to 11-32, than your standard triple, faster shifts through two chainrings and every gear on the rear cassette, and with significant weight saving. WiFLi cassettes are also available for Force CX1. Exact Actuation When we launched our road technology from scratch we reapplied our MTB proven SRAM 1:1 actuation ratio (shifter cable travel : dérailleur movement) for 10 speed rear shifting. EA helps to simplify/stabilize the uneasy act of balancing rear dérailleur hanger design, tight cog spacing and exact cable tension. The result: the easiest index shifting system to set up and it stays that way. AeroGlide Pulleys New tooth pulley design with a sound damping effect for a super efficient and silent ride experience. Bottom and top pulleys benefit from this feature.
This SRAM PC 1091R 10 speed chain features a hollow pin construction that provides smooth, precise shifting and weight savings without sacrificing strength and durability. The PC-1091 chain offers more heavily chamfered outer plates for improved shifting and quieter running. Other advancements include an inner plate finish plus chrome hardened pin construction, both for longer chain life. Technologies: HollowPin (HP): We employ HollowPin construction on all SRAM top of the line PowerChains. HP yields plate retention strength, front and rear shifting efficiency, and low weight benchmarks unreachable in solid pin chain applications. PowerLock (PL): SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool free, sure and consistent way to connect 10-speed chains. While PL does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10 Speed drive trains mandated that each PowerLock is good for a one-time application only.
