They are mainly used as an all-weather training wheelset. The rims are not expensive if they need to be replaced which is unlikely and the hubs, well they love the wet. Bearing life is long in all conditions. The rim is 24mm wide and 26mm deep. It weighs 475g. The rear rim has offset drilling for increased NDS spoke tension (this is a good thing for spoke life). The internal width of this rim is 19mm and it has a 2mm thick spoke nipple bed. All tyres will sit wider on this rim than they would on a narrower one. This improves rider comfort due to the increased air volume and due to the different tyre shape handling in the bends particularly over broken road surfaces is improved. These wheels are robust, and the rims are low cost meaning they are perfect training wheels and ideal for wet weather/winter use. They are supplied tubeless ready with tubeless tape and valves. If you take the GSport Ribcage rim and lace it to Roloway cassette hub, you’ll end up with one of the strongest BMX cassette wheels you can get. The RHD/LHD compatible hub features a modern slim shape along with all the durability you've come to expect from a G-Sport hub and features a 7075-T6 aluminum hub shell, super durable and smooth 16003 sealed cartridge hub shell bearings, a 14mm 4130 chromoly axle bolts w/17mm 4130 chromoly female axle and a 9T driver with 3-Pawl independent spring design and precision caged needle bearings. The Roloway is laced to G-Sport's Ribcage rim. The Ribcage has been one of the only rims to have true design breakthroughs in recent years. Since its introduction the competition has scrambled to catch up but still remain a poor copy, so if it doesn't say GSport on the rim, don't expect it to perform like a G-Sport rim. The strength to weight ratio of the Ribcage cannot be matched. The entire design revolves around the use of a proprietary high strength aluminum alloy made specially for G-Sport in an on-site foundry. It is a lightweight rim that can take anything you throw at it. With the Ribcage, the spoke holes are re-enforced with patented ribs that support the sides of each spoke nipple and eliminate the possibility of nipple pull through under even the highest loads.
