Hand built by Malcolm Borg the BORG22 wheelset is the perfect choice for high mileage riders who ride in all conditions no matter what the weather.24mm wide tubeless ready Kinlin rims (also compatible with tubes)Triple butted Sapim spokesBig cartridge bearing hubs that are easy to serviceLife of the rim warrantyShimano or Campagnolo freehubWeight: 1646g (approx)The BORG22 has been hand built around a 24mm wide and 22mm deep Kinlin rim that has an internal width of 19mm and a 2mm thick spoke nipple bed. The rims are tubeless ready and come with tubeless tape, valves and IRC tyre levers. The rims have been built with 24 black Sapim laser spokes at the front and 28 black Sapim force spokes at the rear. Sapim black self locking alloy nipples are used and Sapim HM nipple washers are also utilised.To ensure the best value, performance and durability the BORG22 wheels use Miche Primato hubs. The bearings are 2x6001 C3 in both the front and rear hub shells. The rear freehub has 2x 6901 bearings. The axles front and rear are 12mm diameter and made of steel. The front and rear hub are a free axle design making disassembly really simple. Both the front and rear hub have a bearing preload adjuster which should be set once the wheels are installed in the bike. Simply reliable wheels that benefit from life of the rim guarantee against going out of true/spoke failure, rim cracking (but not rim damage) and hub flange cracking.
