Tough, Lightweight, Durable Machined from a combination of aluminum and steel, an Ultegra R8000 cassette offers an excellent compromise between weight, durability, and performance. To keep the weight down aluminium is used to rivet the largest three sprockets and a fibre-reinforced composite the next largest two. Tipping the scales at a low of 232 grams for the 11–25T, and a high of 300g for the 14–28T option, regardless of your preferred choice you certainly won’t be weighed down.
