Initially developed with Hutchinson s professional racers for the Spring classic races, its lateral sheared profile will please even the most aggressive riders in curves. While its tread, in association with an effective compound, makes it a fast rolling tyre.This tyre is the reason why the Road Tubeless Ready design was developed. The technology has several benefits, the main being puncture resistance. The absence of an inner tube eliminates the risk of punctures due to impact/pinch or burst. Comfort is also increased due to the opportunity to ride at a lower tyre pressure so less feedback from the road s defects. There s also increased grip thanks to a greater deformation of the tyre in curves and improved performance due to no internal frictions with an inner tube. If the Sector is to be used as part of a tubeless set-up Hutchinson recommend using their Protect Air MAX latex sealant to guarantee airtightness. If there is a puncture, the sealant acts to fill the hole (until 3mm) and repair the tyre. However, the tyre can also be fitted to a standard rim and with an inner tube.The 700 x 32c tyre option also features a Hardskin fabric placed bead-to-bead and under the tread. Coming from the world of MTB, this technology protects sidewalls from cuts and improves puncture resistance.

The Maxxis Dissector EXO mountain bike (MTB) tyre features ramped blocks running along its centreline for a speedy feel, while the taller knobs on the edges deliver immense braking and cornering. The EXO puncture-protection sidewall and wide trail casing-optimisation make this a tough and protective choice of trail-ready tyre. Technologies: EXO: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain bike tyres. 3CT Compound: The 3C MaxxTerra component is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, but provides better tread wear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip. TR (Tubeless Ready) Technology: Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. Their TR tyres use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tyres are the only Maxxis tyres approved for use with liquid sealants.
