The unique 10t start of the XG-1290 cassette means the Red DUB chainset can use smaller chainrings than normal while retaining a similar gear for top speed. The integrated Quarq Dzero is cleverly packaged as part of the chainrings, reducing weight and making it possible to switch the power meter between compatible Red chainsets.
