Much like Éclat's Freecoaster, the Cortex front hub was designed for the streets. Using the same proven narrow flange spacing as our famous Dynamic front hub, the Cortex comes out of the box with x2 Nylon fibreglass hubguards which are long lasting and replaceable for a very low cost. This hub has been tested by the team over the past year and is designed to keep you grinding on and on and on. Eclat have oversized their popular Cortex hub, throwing in larger bearings usually found in their rear hubs to give the hub a smoother ride with less resistance. Using the same design as it's predecessor the Cortex OS is built for riders who want unrivalled durability and performance. The larger bearings are designed to keep on rolling smooth even after years of heavy abuse, capable of taking much harder impacts too they're built to go hard. The long awaited and highly anticipated Seismic hub from Eclat is now available! Eclat have designed a brand new cassette TCS (Toothed Coupling System) mechanism which features 2 couple d toothed ratchet rings which are inside the hub and the driver. The two rings are pushed together with a very special design of spring, which allows the hub to transfer power in one direction, and “freewheel” in the other. Basically a much stronger internal mechanism, which can’t fail even after years of heavy use. No more skipping, slipping or popping, you can really crank this thing as hard you want and it’s not going to fail.
