The Shimano XT SM-RT76 disc brake rotors utilise the same design as the RT79 centrelock versions, allowing those with 6 bolt hubs to run a matching caliper and disc combo for optimum performance. These brake discs are ideally suited to Shimano Saint, Deore XT and XTR systems, offering additional versatility with minimal weight penalty. The rotors feature a precision cut stainless steel braking surface which improves pad clearing in muddy conditions while aiding cooling under high load, increasing pad performance and life. The large forged alloy spider supports the rotor braking surface, increasing rigidity and reducing weight.
This high quality 10-speed road cassette uses hyperglide sprockets that have a computer designed tooth configuration with contoured shift gates, resulting in a crisp smooth shift even under load. A range of sprocket ratio's are available, allowing for a more efficient use of energy through finer cadence control or a wide spread for tackling steep ascents and descents. Sprockets are cut away and drilled to reduce weight without reducing rigidity. All the sprockets and the steel lockring have a nickel-plated finish which provides a hard wearing resistance to corrosion and the cassette is designed for use with Super Narrow 10-speed HG chains.
