Halo RXR 650b x47mm Gravel TyreThe RXR is Halo's road plus tyre offering, delivering minimal rolling resistance and maximum comfort on the roughest terrain.Thanks to a 60TPI tubeless carcass, the RXR is both lightweight and reliable. The carcass allows the tyre to conform to the terrain for increased grip and comfort, and it also brushes off a large amount of potential damage from objects on the road or trail.Leading edges incorporated into the central tread provide instant acceleration, traction and braking control in all conditions while retaining a flush rolling surface. The leading edges only come into play when ridden in the wet or riding off-road. The tyre rolls with minimal resistance on dry and smooth surfaces.To produce a highly capable all-condition road plus tyre, angled mud and water-shedding channels have also been integrated into the shoulder tread.The RXR tyre also offers a large tread wrap for extreme lean angles and features dual compounds. The rubber compound in the centre is slightly firmer to increase rolling speeds and longevity. Arrow-shaped blocks in the centre funnel mud and water down channels to keep the tread mud free. Rearwards-facing edges on the arrow blocks aid grip under braking, whatever the conditions.The side tread offers a combination of spaced and specifically placed blocks. Combined with optimised siping, the aggressive side tread helps the GXC offer enormous grip levels that blur the lines with mountain bike tyres.The angled mud and water-shedding channels continue from the centre tread all the way to the edge of the tyre.The GXC tyre also offers a large tread wrap for extreme lean angles and features dual compounds. However, several riders found the bush system was susceptible to excessive wear when compared to a bearing system, therefore, we have introduced the slightly heavier (15g) cartridge bearing freehub. The newer style complete cartridge bearing freehub is retro-compatible with the original MXRC rear hub with a bushed driver, but, due to the altered internal spacing of the sealed bearings, you MUST USE the specially shortened thread HG type lockring (supplied with the sealed bearing freehub).Caution: DO NOT USE a standard lockring on the newer sealed bearing freehub, as it will not clear the outer bearing.
