Everything received the same detail, including the transition between handlebar and hoods, the grip texture, finger wrap, and the separate interfaces with both the shifter and brake lever. The understated black finish makes it look fast and a perfect match for any machine. DoubleTap What It Is: DoubleTap® is the flagship technology leading SRAM’s road gruppo revolution. It’s a simple yet elegant and advanced system that addresses issues - Without compromising on performance, comfort, and weight - with a revolutionary shift/brake lever design. What It Does: DoubleTap® makes changing gears easier and faster, eliminating the cumbersome and awkward engagement associated with two-lever systems. DoubleTap handles up- and downshifts in one short, sweeping motion, with minimal effort and maximum comfort no matter where you are on the bars. How It Works: DoubleTap® uses two pawls, one for holding the ratchet wheel, and one for transporting it up and down through the gear change. The pawls are arranged in a way so that they can leapfrog each other depending on how far, and with how much pressure, you push the shift lever. With short, rapid taps the transport pawl (04) moves the ratchet wheel (02) up through the shifting range. Downshifting comes via a longer sweep of the lever (in the same inward direction you upshift, but to an ergonomically maximized 15° angle) with the holding pawl (03) and the transport pawl leapfrogging each other quickly and smoothly. Location, Location, Location: DoubleTap’s one-motion unidirectional levers (05) work flawlessly no matter what position you’re shifting from. Its double-articulated design (01), which is completely separate from the brake pivot, is easily engaged from the hoods or the drops. Unlike all other forward controls, DoubleTap® also lets you pull the shift lever in against the bars so you can upshift while sprinting or attacking without giving up a firm grip. Divide and Conquer: On DoubleTap® controls, the brake and shift levers are completely independent, each operating with their own pivot points. This not only allows for the multiposition functionality, it also eliminates the risk of engaging brakes or shifters unintentionally - an unfortunate side effect of other shift/brake lever designs. What It Means To You: The efficient and ergonomic design reduces weight and eliminates bulk while adding comfort. You can shift from any position on the bars, even while sprinting, giving you a critical advantage over your competition, and our new single-lever mechanism also lets you shift faster, easier, and with more accuracy, without risk of scrubbing speed or losing your grip. DoubleTap® is the cornerstone of SRAM’s assault on road biking. It’s a new way of shifting - and a new way of thinking - that will put you ahead of the competition, no matter where you find it. ZeroLoss™ ZeroLoss simply means, well, zero loss—when you push on the lever, for an upshift or down shift, the cable is engaged instantly—zero loss of movement. There is no middle-ground where you're waiting for the shift to come. Gear changes are instant and precise. ErgoDynamics™ It consists of three separate elements to significantly improve your riding experience on SRAM DoubleTap controls. The brake lever is slightly longer than previous DoubleTap road controls to enhance the reach from the drops. The independent reach adjust features on the brake and shift levers are easier to access to quickly adjust for every hand size. Finally, the shape of the hoods has been completely redesigned with a smaller diameter and higher top shape to increase the rider’s control and improve finger wrap.
SRAM Force eTap AXS Shift-Brake LeverEngineered for road cycling performance, this brake lever is specifically designed to create a wireless and seamless connection with your ride. They feature SRAM's renowned eTap technology, which allows you to use one lever to shift up and the other lever to shift down. Another highlight is this model's AXS technology, which allows riders to fine-tune and adjust the levers behaviour and controls for a more rider-tuned experience. One final benefit is the shifter levers are mounted on the inside of the brake levers, so you can enjoy its clean, aerodynamic appearance. Combining the tradition of mechanical rim brakes and the precision and efficiency of modern electronic shifting, SRAM Force eTap AXS shift-brake levers are fully wireless and fully personalisable. Classic is now new.Features: Brake Lever Material: Carbon Shift Lever Material: Plastic Use: Road Speed: 2x12 speed Shifter Type: eTap Shifting System: Wireless Compatible Derailleur/Hub (SL) Front Derailleur: 2 speed Yaw; Rear Derailleur: 12 speed Brake Type: For use with mechanical rim brakes Reach Adjust: Yes AXS Enabled: Yes Brake Cable Length: Front: 1700mm; Rear: 1100mm Single or Pair: Single Manufacturer's Part Numbers: Front Right Hand: 00.7018.387.001; Rear Left Hand, 00.7018.387.000Technologies: eTap: SRAM's eTap is a simple, unambiguous and intuitive shifting logic. With the shift lever on the right-hand side you move the rear derailleur inwards to a larger sprocket, with the shift lever on the right-hand side you move the derailleur outwards to a smaller sprocket. With the shift lever pressed down, you can directly shift several gears. Pressing both shift levers at the same time causes a derailleur movement in 2-speed shifting systems. AXS: AXS is the new electronic integration platform by SRAM, which combines electronic bicycle components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows you to view battery status, change component behaviour, adjust controls, receive maintenance reminders and update firmware. Reach Adjust: The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. Riders have individual position preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. With the reach adjustment, the lever can be easily adjusted - for maximum control with just one finger. This chainset has combined all the benefits of SRAM's Force 22 road with SRAM's MTB (mountain bike) technology, X-Sync™, ensuring this chainset is reliable, durable and efficient, whatever the trail brings. The SRAM Force CX1 crankset brings to cyclocross a game-changing upgrade in performance and reliability by combining the durability, simplicity, and efficiency of Srams’s Force 22 road combined with their MTB 1X technology, X-Sync™.RAM X-Sync™ 1X chainrings provide the highest level of performance and durability. The SRAM X-Sync™ tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile, as well as rounded chamfer edges, help manage a deflected chain. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-Sync™ chainrings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-Sync™ rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1X™ drivetrain.Features:Arm Material: Carbon arms with forged Aluminium removable spiderTechnologies: X-Sync™, Hidden Bolt configurationFinish: Natural carbon armsWeight: 679g (172.5mm, no BB)Buy SRAM Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.
The stunning X Glide R™ chainrings on the are SRAM Force 22 chainset are optimised for use with the YAW™ Technology in the front derailleur, delivering a seamless, flawless performance. These stiffer rings are made with 5mm thick CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium and feature upshift rivets with an advanced design adopted from SRAM XX. CNC machining allows for precision control of each tooth shape, ramp, and nearly every shifting feature of the chainring. The chainrings, chain, and front derailleur in the Force 22 range are all designed as a single integrated system for optimised performance.
