The carbon Reactor 290 frame is a trail-ready full suspension mountain bike (MTB) frame that is more than capable of handling all the demands associated with all-day epics on the trails. Ready for charging across rock gardens, tree roots and debris, Nukeproof has also kitted out this model with a high-quality RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RC2T rear shock that brings exceptional smoothness, and traction tuneability and control to every ride, over all terrain conditions. Designed for modern trail riding, its 148x12mm Boost rear hub spacing gives it increased stiffness and strength, while its updated geometry with internal cable routing delivers slick handling on the most demanding of terrains. From concept through to design, the Kinematics, the geometry and specification; the Reactor is designed from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It is at home on technical climbs, but happiest when thrashing the most technical trails you can point it at. Full Suspension Carbon Fibre MTB Frame To optimise the weight, strength and stiffness, the Reactor Carbon frame features a full UD woven carbon fibre frameset (Including chain and seat stays). It is available for 27.5” or 29” wheel sizes. These are two totally different, compromise-free frames that were designed and developed at the same time. Each frame is simply tailored around each wheel size. Speed or Play: which do you value more? The manoeuvrability of 27.5” or the raw speed of a 29”? Adjustable Geometry All Reactor frames feature a “flip chip” to adjust the geometry from “Trail” to “Rail mode”.Trail – As the name suggests, this setting is best suited for trail riding. It is for riders who get as much enjoyment from the climb as the descents. Rail - The Rail setting turns the Reactor into a corner shredder, dropping the bottom bracket 6mm and slackening the head angle by half a degree. It is there to maximise the descending capabilities. Suspension Design To ensure the bike could climb as well as it descends, Nukeproof designed the 4-bar horst linkage to have higher levels of anti-squat for climbing gears but lower levels when you drop down the cassette. This means that the bike can behave itself on the climbs but when you get it up to speed, it turns into a trail hooligan. The combination of low anti-squat and progressive rate gives ultimate small bump compliance (removes rough trail and root chatter) with good mid-stroke support for cornering/pumping and end stroke progression for aggressive riding. Balanced anti-rise figures allow the Reactor some squat when braking hard, maintaining rider position and providing a good amount of pressure through the tyre to ensure traction. The Reactor is designed to reward the rider and ensure you get that stoke factor in on any ride. RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Rear Shock Debuting a revolution in damper technology, the RC2T damper, found at the Ultimate level, allows for the most precise compression tuning ever seen—the kind that makes the millisecond’s difference between winning and learning. Tunability’s the name of the game—now you can fine-tune shock feel throughout travel from top to bottom out—or bottomless—it’s up to you to decide. Super Deluxe stakes its claim as the premier performance technology required by riders gunning for the crown. Let the winning legacy live on. Engineered to strike a chord, the new DebonAir+ system was built on the idea of tuneability. Designed to meet the needs of all types of riders, DebonAir+ offers two different air cans to augment each frame’s particular kinematics. Utilizing a needle that rations the flow of oil as the piston moves through the stroke, Hydraulic Bottom Out kicks in within the last 20% of travel, sparing you the pain of that harsh clanking bottom out after impact without sacrificing reactivity or traction. Found in our Super Deluxe lineup, Hydraulic Bottom Out plays nice with our Bottomless Tokens, allowing riders to fine-tune their air spring without worrying about bottoming out. “It makes me want to race some World Cups again (Sam Hill)". Racing is in Nukeproof's DNA. It comes from being developed and tested in conjunction with the world’s fastest racers. This full-suspension mountain bike (MTB) frame comes equipped with a robust 6061 aluminium construction that's been put through a hydroforming and triple-butting process for exceptional strength, durability and toughness as you hit your favourite trails. Specifically developed for riders who want to complete their mullet bike setup, this model also allows for a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" rear wheel to be fitted. Another benefit is its 157x12mm rear hub Boost axle spacing, which gives you stiff and responsive handling, wherever your next ride takes you. The updated Dissent platform shares some similarities with the Pulse at first glance, but if you dig a little deeper it is actually quite different. The main changes Nukeproof wanted to make were: - Simplify the design, to drop the weight and increase the front triangle stiffness. - More progressive leverage rate to increase the mid-stroke support to make the bike pump better, sit higher in the travel, improve stability in corners and improve the liveliness of the ride. Structurally the most obvious change is an all new suspension design for the Dissent. In a move away from the Fallout Linkage; The updated Dissent’s rocker link is now positioned on the outside of the seat tube, rather than tucked inside a clamshell as before. This allows us to drop a fair bit of weight whilst increasing the front triangle stiffness at the same time. Lightweight Full Suspension MTB Frame with 200mm Travel The suspension platform now uses a push rather than a pull link, helping to reduce the loads and stresses on the frame again helping to further save weight and improve durability. The result of all of this is that the Dissent frame is over 400g lighter than the Pulse. The Dissent platform was originally conceived by Nukeproof engineers as a concept to test several progression curve theories at once. However, in turning the theory into reality, Nukeproof created something much better than expected, and the prototype won on its international debut at Crankworx festival’s Garbanzo Downhill race with Sam Hill. It is not uncommon for different world cup riders to want a slightly different characteristic to one another depending on factors such as their riding style and whether they run flat pedals or not. The Dissent takes this into account with an adjustable main pivot flip chip, designed to essentially work like a bottomless token for a coil shock. The Dissent Frame now offers riders the choice of 4 main pivot positions, which alter how progressive the suspension is. Cleverly the geometry and travel do not change between positions. Note: The sag difference between each setting is around 1% so you should not need a different spring rate. The Main pivot flip chips are fast and simple to change and offer a tailored factory set up for every rider! Further custom tuning can be done via Nukeproof's new three-position adjustable chainstay features interchangeable dropout inserts. The chainstay flip chips allow you to alter the wheelbase by 5-10mm depending on the type of track you’re riding, your height or riding style. The combination of frame adaptability, a custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium tubeset, a confidence inspiring 63-degree head angle and 200mm of travel via Nukeproof's new Dissent platform make this bike the privateers dream. The centrally-positioned shock and linkage system ensure optimum handling while other features include a true 1.5” head tube, ISCG 05 mounts and a 157x12mm rear axle to keep things stable at the rear. If you’re looking for a frame that’s snappy confident and happiest on trails that make other hardtails cry you’ve come to the right place. The Fuse’s M4 aluminum frame is loaded with smart touches. The wide-diameter down tube boosts stiffness. The low-slung top tube gives you the clearance to throw the bike around on tight trails. Adjustable dropouts let you run the Fuse geared or single-speed. Those same dropouts also let you adjust the chainstays by as much as 15 millimeters lengthening the rear end for more stability or shortening it up for quick nimble manners. The Fuse is a piece of rolling art—the kind of functional art that has you dragging handlebars in corners braking way too late and making indecent growling noises mid-ride. Commencal has been working on 29/27 ‘Mullet’ bikes and frames for many years now with their different downhill (DH) teams. This work has allowed Commencal to understand that to transform a regular bike with the same sized wheels into a bike with different sized wheels, it isn’t effective to just throw a 27-inch wheel on the back. The geometry and kinematics of the bike must be completely reworked and it is thanks to this experience that we are now able to present the most successful version of the META V4 they've ever produced, the META AM. Equipping this META AM with different sized 29/27-inch wheels is not the result of a trend that Commencal is following. Quite simply, this way the bike is much more balanced, specifically relating to grip on the front and back - the large 29-inch wheel on the front allows more confidence and rolling capacity whilst the 27.5-inch rear wheel offers more manoeuvrability and responsiveness. The result is a bike that is more agile and easier on the steeps, more efficient under braking and more dynamic when pushing hard. Once again, Commencal's choice to work with Aluminium has allowed them to accompany this change in wheel size with an adjustment of the geometry. A shorter 10mm reach, a straightened steerer angle and extended (10mm) chainstays mean that the rider is naturally repositioned in the centre of the bike and will therefore have the ability to be more precise and agile in their technique. Undoubtedly, one of the points that have changed the most is the way the suspension works. Apart from the kinematics which has been reworked to provide more liveliness, Commencal made a point of managing the stiffness of the rear triangle. Through new double row Enduro Bearings, eliminating any deformation, the new META AM frame offers perfect deformation/rigidity management to provide grip, comfort and performance. In addition to all this in-depth work, as on their META POWER TR and META TR models, Commencal now offers a "Flip Chip" on the shock extension in order to be able to better adjust the geometry, and therefore fit with your style. This system also means you can adapt the height of the bottom bracket as well as the steerer and saddle angles within seconds. Depending on your preferences, you can have the choice between a dynamic bike that’s perfect for big pedalling trips, or a more progressive version that is ideal for days in the bike park or on more committed trails. Finally, they have worked on a detail that makes the difference; the finished look. The welds have been the subject of meticulous work to reduce them as much as possible without affecting the solidity of the frame. The cable routing is neat for easier maintenance, the cables being easily accessible in the down tube, while grommets are placed at the ends to give perfect support and prevent penetration of water and mud. Installing a bottle cage has also been made easy.
