The 100 x 110mm machined aluminium platform houses the 22 pins (11 per side), a big inboard bearing and two outboard bearings, and a steel axle. Fully rebuildable.

Eclat designed the Centric Pedal for those riders who prefer a shorter crank arm for its increased responsiveness and feel. By moving the pedal body closer to the bottom bracket to achieve a similar feel and advantage. It boasts an overall larger platform area and the is moved closer to the crank arm by removing the 15mm wrench flat, this creates a stronger pedal spindle and allows for a wider choice of foot positioning over regular pedals. Low profile pedal from Eclat. Eclat developed their own custom spindle which uses a smaller caged bearing, but stays thicker closer to the crank arm where you need the strength the most. With removable pins on one side of the pedal, you can keep one side.
When it came to designing the Contra pedal, Eclat were having trouble keeping the pedal profile thin while not sacrificing the strength of the spindle. Instead of taking an ‘off-the-shelf’ spindle, they went and developed their own custom option which uses a smaller caged bearing, but stays thicker closer to the crank arm where you need the strength the most. With removable pins on one side of the pedal, you can keep one side nice and grippy, and one side for grinding on. You can also put the steel pins in after the molded pins have been worn down to give more life to your pedal.
