Eclat designed the Centric Pedal for those riders who prefer a shorter crank arm for its increased responsiveness and feel. By moving the pedal body closer to the bottom bracket to achieve a similar feel and advantage. It boasts an overall larger platform area and the is moved closer to the crank arm by removing the 15mm wrench flat, this creates a stronger pedal spindle and allows for a wider choice of foot positioning over regular pedals. The Eclat AK pedal uses a full-bushing system, which allowed us to take up the space where a loose ball bearing would sit, and just enlarge the axle, making it almost indestructible. Eclat have so much faith in the strength of the spindle that they offer a full lifetime guarantee against the spindle breaking or bending under riding conditions, and will offer a full replacement spindle should you do so. Eclat's Seeker Pedal was born thanks to many of their Pro team asking for a pedal with a larger platform than most, but with a slightly thinner profile. Regular unsealed bearings limit how thin you can actually make the pedal body without the bearing and axle getting smaller and weaker, so the solution was to use battle-proven dual bearing and bushing system from Eclat's legendary Surge pedal. Thanks to this construction technique the Seeker boasts a thinner profile to any of Eclat's other pedals without having any unecessary raised areas. A micro-knurled surface and durable pins adds plenty of grip and traction. When it came to designing the Contra pedal, Eclat were having trouble keeping the pedal profile thin while not sacrificing the strength of the spindle. Instead of taking an ‘off-the-shelf’ spindle, they went and developed their own custom option which uses a smaller caged bearing, but stays thicker closer to the crank arm where you need the strength the most. With removable pins on one side of the pedal, you can keep one side nice and grippy, and one side for grinding on. You can also put the steel pins in after the molded pins have been worn down to give more life to your pedal.
