How To Use: To remove the bearing, the remover is fed through the shell until the flat head goes into the opposite side bearing. Once engaged, the tool's plastic guide will fit into the near-side shell opening to hold the tool steady while you tap the handle end firmly with a hammer, until the bearing pops out. To install new bearings, the bundled bushings (included) are used with a headset press (not included) to quickly and accurately press the bearings into the shell.
After tapping, the taps act as guides to keep the included facing cutter perfectly square with the axis of the bottom bracket for cleanup of the faces of the bottom bracket shell.

One end of the BBT-9 Park Tool bottom bracket tool securely engages the 16 notches of the bottom bracket cups, the other end engages the 8 internal splines of the crank arm adjustment cap.
