Technologies (See Sizing Option Above For Corresponding Compound Type): EN-DTC Compound Option: Designed around the rigours of enduro racing. Featuring a lower rolling resistance value than previous dual tread compounds, tyres with EN-DTC show less wear than other similar tyres. With shore A values lower than the original DTC, the EN-DTC provides a more responsive ride, letting the knobs do the work of control and braking on the ground. RSR DUAL LAYER (RSRDL) Compound Option: Kenda developed this compound for a new generation of gravity tyres - an evolution of the existing Race Stick-E Rubber (RSR) compound. Building on the impressive original, the new RSR compound is a dual layer tread rubber, with the soft RSR compound on top and the stiff SRC on bottom. This new dual layer compound offers better performance because the stiff bottom SRC layer serves as the hard foundation for the softer RSR layer to push against. The result is a compound that provides better control and lasts longer than previous versions. AGC Compound: The Advanced Gravity Casing (AGC) is Kenda‘s latest innovation for gravity orientated riders. Utilizing strips of Kenda Vector Shield (KVS), a lightweight woven aramid material, positioned under the tread area and along the sidewalls to protect the tyre from cuts and punctures. The KVS material offers nearly three times more cut resistance than standard protective materials. A 20mm apex along the bead prevents pinch flats and burping. Our lightest and strongest gravity casing up to date. AEC Compound Casing (on all compound tyres): Developed for the rigours of enduro, the new Advanced Enduro Casing (AEC) fills the gap between the burly Advanced Gravity Casing (AGC) and the weight-optimized Advanced Trail Casing (ATC). Using the same 3-piece Aramid inserts as the AGC casing, AEC omits the apex at the bead: for the same high level of puncture and cut resistance but without the added weight. A dual-layer compound provides the same reliable grip found on the AGC casing.

The thicker the tyre, the harder it is for glass, pins, staples and other unpleasantries to worm their way in. Twice the rubber tread equates to twice the lifespan of a tyre. meaning your price is 50% off the competition. With twice the rubber it makes for a smoother ride through the natural absorption qualities of rubber.
The WTB Raddler TCS gravel bike tyre is the radder version of WTB's famed Riddler tread pattern. It combines the expeditious efficiency of a short-knob centerline with get-rad traction of chunky outer knobs. Let’s call it a semi-slick, but one designed to increase confidence while you’re pushing the limits of gravel. Raddler is an excellent choice for loose terrain where traction takes priority, but efficiency is never far behind. Lean it over, take the inside line, brake late and stay in control with the Raddler. TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) TCS is WTB's standardised tubeless rim/tyre system designed to meet international ETRTO standards and ensure ultimate reliability. Pairing WTB’s legendary casings and tread compounds with a tubeless aramid bead provide increased traction and reliability of a tubeless tyre, at a lower weight than any tubed alternative. WTB's TCS system includes tyres, rims, tape, sealant and valves to provide a comprehensive package of unrivalled tubeless performance and WTB reliability.
Ready for exploring the countryside back roads, this gravel bike tyre features a smooth centreline for superior efficiency with diamond-shaped outer knobs that grip into the dirt. Its high volume capacity also allows for a comfortable ride when the smooth tarmac comes to an end and the mixed terrain begins. Gravel Bike Tyre with Smooth Rolling Performance Byway is for days of endless hardpack exploration and gravel grinding while also providing noticeable efficiency on any pavement linking it all together. A swiftly smooth centreline is paired to a textured intermediate section that provides a seamless transition onto small outer knobs for unwavering traction in loose dirt and gravel. Prominent outer knobs also extend down the sidewall to provide an additional level of defence from roadside unpleasantries of all shapes and sizes. Byway 34 is an identical replacement to the previously named Exposure 34 tyre. WTB renamed the tyre to create a uniform naming structure where all tyres are named according to tread pattern. SG2 Puncture Protection These tyres are available with WTB's SG2 Puncture Protection, which is a lightweight nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage and ensures every area of the tyre is defended against slashes and punctures. As events become progressively rougher and cyclists pedal farther, gravel gets tougher. It only makes sense for gravel tyres to become tougher as well. Technologies: Dual DNA Compound: Two rubber compounds. The centerline tread features a firmer rubber compound that rolls fast and resists tread wear while the side knobs are composed of softer, slower-rebounding rubber to improve control and grip. All Dual DNA tyres fall within the Fast Rolling category. SG2 Puncture Protection: Nylon fibres have a flat profile, which reduces the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between fibres and minimises weight. Protected SG2 gravel tyres feature a 120tpi casing, which improves suppleness compared to a traditional 60tpi tyre. SG2 was specifically designed to be a puncture protection layer, but it also improves air retention and eliminates seeping at the sidewall. Tyre Pressure Information: WTB's tyre pressure recommendations have changed over time due to further developments in technology. Riders may always reference the markings on their tyres for allowed pressures ranges, but WTB calculate pressure recommendations based on an average rider weight of 160-180 lbs and suggest increasing the minimum recommended pressure by 2-3psi for every additional 10 lbs of rider weight. Never exceed the maximum tyre pressure marked on a tyre.
