If you want some extra security, or if you want to save some more weight, there is no problem using a pair of front or rear rims. Nukeproof use a sleeved rim as this allows them to have full control over the properties of the alloy. When you weld a rim it is exposed to a large amount of heat which changes the properties of the alloy in the area around the weld. This change can lead to a weak spot in the rim.
