When SRAM re-introduced SRAM RED in 2012 there was simply nothing more they could add to make it better. SRAM RED was all new, redesigned throughout, with innovations they've spent the past year touting and their athletes proving. It was loaded with features and benefits that matched the needs of professionals: fast, light, aerodynamic, ergonomic, near-silent, and, of course, trim-less, with ground breaking Yaw technology. Adding two more gears to that combination was arguably the only improvement required. The added benefit is that now, without adding weight, we maintain a system that shifts incredibly fast upfront, and with the best and smoothest gear transitions in back. And, for the first time available anywhere, the system gives you twenty-two gears. No compromise and no trim, what we're calling True 22, in any gear combination. Welcome to SRAM RED 22.Replacement chain rings in 110mm and 130mm BCD for SRAM 11 YAW speed road cranks. Replace worn out rings or swap to change gearing for specific uses.
SRAM Rival 22 YAW Braze-On Front mechSRAM's Rival 22 front derailleur rotates to maintain optimal chain line after each gear shift. YAW technology removes the need for shifter trim, eliminating chain rub to enhance shifting performance and improve component longevity. It’s the front derailleur that changed everything, now with SRAM Force 22, giving riders the freedom to shift with incredible speed into either chainring, with no trim and no chain rasp. The Yaw™ rotating front derailleur cage was just one more elegant solution to a problem that plagued drivetrains for decades. Instead of multiple shifts using trim, with confusing microshifts, the SRAM Force 22 Yaw™ Front Derailleur actually rotates to maintain a consistent angular relationship with the chain. As a result, shifts feel more direct, more precise, system that works as one with the chain, cransket and chainrings. Key Features: Yaw™ cage rotates in line with chain, improving the shifting speed and precision while eliminating the need for shifter trim. TRUE 22 – twenty-two usable gears in all gear combinations with no rasp or rub. Slim spring design eliminates frame interference. Durable, light, fast, precise and optimized to work with X Glide R™ chainrings. Precision alignment markings. Integrated chain spotter protects your frame, installs and adjusts independently of the derailleur itself. Weight:79g (Braze-on), Chain spotter: 10.2g Compatibility: SRAM RED 22 & Force 22 Front Shift/Brake levers & X GLide R Chainrings
Your needs aren't less demanding. They're different. The new SRAM Rival 22 groupset delivers immense performance across a broad variety of bikes and disciplines. Paved or not. Cyclocross or triathlon. Road racing or unchartered journeys. Rival 22 provides the ergonomics, efficiency and technology for finely tuned cyclists to meet each challenge and expand their limits.Dedicated cyclists' demands are different - not less than - the pro's. Their demands change and evolve with their riding and performance, whether they're race ready or adventure ready. So why settle for a group that's simply ratcheted-down to 75 percent of what the pros ride? Rival 22 delivers 100 percent of what cyclists demand.
A groundbreaking design introduced last year, now Yaw technology comes to the SRAM Force 22 front derailleur. It uses a modified parallelogram to actually rotate the derailleur cage as you shift. This gives more clearance for the chain in each respective chainring, so eliminating chain rub in any gear combination without the need for trim on the front shifter. The slim spring design gives more clearance for the frame, minimising any interference issues and the integrated (but removable) chain spotter removes any chance of chain damage to your frame. At only 79g (10.2g for the chain spotter), the Force 22 front derailleur is one big difference that doesn't add much.he front derailleur cage rotates to maintain a consistent angular relationship with the chain. Yaw technology eliminates the need for shifter trim. As a result, shifts feel more direct, more precise, and combined with the new Red crankset and chainrings, delivers an unmatched performance advantage in front shifting.
To create the Red B2 X-Glide 110BCD Yaw 11-Speed Chainring, SRAM first started out with raw 7075-T6 alloy plate, then they stamp, coin, and CNC the rings to create a precise shifting whole. For SRAM 11 YAW Speed Road Crank7075-T6 Alloy PlateBCD: 110mmFor use with BB30 Or GXPCoining shapes tooth profiles into designs CNC alone can't match, creating a stronger tooth by strain-hardening the alloy for superior durability.
