dhb Aeron Rain Defence Bib TightThe dhb Aeron Rain Defence Bib Tights are engineered to keep out water as you cycle, using a brand new Schoeller® PU foam waterproof and windproof fabric that still retains an incredibly level of breathability when compared to standard waterproof fabrics. Schoeller® Fabric TechnologyThe usual way to make a waterproof fabric is to use a laminated construction using a membrane between a face and inner fabric. This does achieve excellent waterproof performance but flexibility and breathability suffer - not so great for cycling garments.dhb has worked with Schoeller® to create tights that are incredibly waterproof but are far superior in flexibility and breathability. This has been made possible using PU foam as an alternative to a standard membrane. PU foam is a unique bonding process which enables the dhb winter bib tight fabrics to have the right level of windproofing, water resistance, breathability and stretch. Whereas a laminated fabric construction would completely block wind flow through the fabric, the dhb PU foam bonded fabrics block the wind but also allows a small amount of air to pass through the fabric. This slight air-permeability speeds moisture transfer allowing you to ride at higher intensities and still remain sweat free.Schoeller® Nanosphere® Water Repellent TreatmentIt's not just the innovative construction of the PU foam that makes the Aeron Rain Defence so good, it's also the addition of a NanoSphere® treatment.
