Every Day is an Adventure.A bike that will turn every journey, path and road into a joyride. Its comfort-focused frame and upright riding position keep the effort low, and enjoyment high.Key BenefitsBuilt for Comfort. First and foremost, this bicycle is made for comfort: an upright riding position, lightweight feel and riding style, a plush saddle combined with squishy front suspension that turns bumpy streets, parkland paths, and gravel roads into a smooth-sailing journey.Easy on, Easy off. The Adventure begins with our lowest step-thru frame – a thoroughly modern take on a classic design, resulting in the easiest bicycle to kickstart your ride. Anyone can step on, set off, and park easily with the built-in kickstand. All that’s left is enjoying the ride.Style and Confidence. Plenty of smooth-shifting gears will ensure that every ride is a breeze, while trustworthy disc brakes and larger-volume tires will handle every road with ease and new-found confidence.
You may ask yourself, “what is this 650b semi-plump tyre trend anyway?” perhaps you’re gravel-curious, but not quite sure of how often you’ll really want to push your limits off the paved road. That is what the Rove AL 650 is here for. It’s the road biker’s gravel/touring/do-it-all steed. It welcomes bigger tyre clearance and more comfortable geometry. It provides everything you need for a fast, comfortable ride and nothing you don’t. It’s the perfect bike for commuting, partaking in weekend warrior adventures, or diving deeper into longer tours. The Rove AL 650 is the 650b-wheeled companion to the Rove AL 700. For those riders looking for a 650b wheeled machine with all the features of its bigger sibling, look no further. This off-road gravel warrior is armed with a Shimano 2x8-Speed drivetrain, reliable and powerful Hayes mechanical disc brakes, and 47c WTB Venture Comp tyres, giving the Rove AL 650 the performance, agility and control for all-terrain riding. Kona 6061 Aluminium Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout their range of mountain and asphalt bicycles. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. Much of our 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing’s wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so they can fine-tune a particular frame’s strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application. 650b Wheels and Tyres 650b wheels and tyres have a similar overall diameter to a traditional 700c gravel or commuting tyre, but with a smaller diameter rim and a wider, taller tyre. The extra air volume in this new generation of urban and mixed-surface tyres means they can be run comfortably at lower pressures while still rolling quickly on a variety of surfaces. It’s the best of both worlds. Merida's heartland has always been bombproof aluminium hardtails. Half a century of frame building experience counts for a lot.All Big Nine and Big Seven models use a sophisticated TFS frame featuring the latest technology: full internal cable routing for a clean, neat set up, tapered headtube offering the potential for future upgrades inboard disc brake mounts protect the brake and maximise stopping powerAs much Shimano componentry as possible has been added to complement the modern frame and enhance reliability. There are a wide range of sizes; Big Seven for shorter riders and Big Nine for taller riders with a healthy overlap between the two.
