Technologies: Vulcanized Tubeless Ready (VTR): The highest level of performance offered by car, truck and motorcycle tyre manufacturers is a vulcanized tubeless system. While this is an old technology for cars and trucks, for bicycles it is relatively new and did not even have an internationally accepted design standard (ISO or ETRTO) until recent years. By eliminating the inner tube it is possible to lower the weight and create a softer, more comfortable, more efficient, lower rolling resistance tyre system by running lower tyre pressure. Challenge started introducing Vulcanized Tubeless Ready (VTR) tyres in recent years because the ISO and ETRTO standards for proper VTR tire and rim fit have finally been completed. These standards ensure your safety and your ability to fit and service the tyres with hand tools.

Shorter valve inner tubes are ideal for wheels with rim depths of 24mm or 30mm but are not ideal for wheels with rim depths of 40mm or above (as the shorter valve would not extend out of the rim valve hole). Presta valve tubes are most commonly used for road wheels (700c) and on a few MTB wheels as the valves are thin, whereas Schrader valves are more commonly found on MTB wheels as the valve is larger and won't fit through 700c rim valve holes. Please note: if you are running a 25c Tyre you can use either the 20 - 25 Race 28 or the 25 - 32 race 28 options. The larger volume tube will give you the option to increase your tyre size at a later date and will run with less stress than the smaller size in a 25c tyre. Each and every inner tube passes a stringent 100% quality control inspection
Super lightweight butyl tube, even lighter than latex but not porous, so no need to reinflate every day. Can also be fixed with a normal puncture kit. The shorter valves on these inner tubes are ideal for wheels with rim depths of 24mm or 30mm but are not ideal for wheels with rim depths of 35mm or above (as the shorter valve would not extend out of the rim valve hole). Presta valve tubes are most commonly used for road wheels (700c) and on a few MTB wheels as the valves are thin, whereas Schrader valves are more commonly found on MTB wheels as valve is larger and won't fit through 700c rim valve holes.
The long valve inner tube enables you to use these with deep section rims (40mm, 50mm and above) as the shorter valve would not extend out of the rim valve hole. Shorter valve inner tubes are ideal for wheels with rim depths of 24mm or 30mm. Road Inner Tubes with Presta Valves Presta valve tubes are most commonly used for road wheels (700c) and on a few MTB wheels as the valves are thin, whereas Schrader valves are more commonly found on MTB wheels as the valve is larger and won't fit through 700c rim valve holes. Shorter valve inner tubes are ideal for wheels with rim depths of 24mm or 30mm. Presta valve tubes are most commonly used for road wheels (650c) and on a few MTB wheels as the valves are thin, whereas Schrader valves are more commanly found on MTB wheels as valve is larger and won't fit through 650c rim valve holes. 650c Wheel Sizing Be aware that when purchasing a 650c inner tube, tyre, or wheel from the Wiggle site that what you are buying is smaller than a more conventional road 700c inner tube, tyre, or wheel. Most road bikes nowadays come fitted, as standard, with 700c wheels (including inner tubes and tyres) and not 650c. A 650c inner tube or tyre WILL NOT fit a 700c wheel. Please read the 650c Wheel Sizing guide explaining the difference between 650c and 700c wheels. Based on ETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation) dimensions, 650c wheels are smaller than 700c wheels by about eight percent. Please, when on this page make sure you are buying the correct tyre size for you wheel. Check the sizing on your tyre before purchasing from this page. Tyre sizes tend to be printed on the sidewalls so please check before making a purchase.
