The hub shell is CNC machined in Barnoldswick, England from a single forged billet of 2014-T6 aluminium and uses a 7075 aluminium cassette body. Both these are now machined to allow fitting of the new generation of 11 speed cassettes from Shimano, but still allow for use of 9 and 10 speed Shimano and Sram cassettes by means of a removable spacer. Hubs are also available to suit Campagnolo 9, 10 and 11 speed cassettes. The hub is also fitted with our new 40 tooth ratchet with 4 pawl engagement, giving a quick, dependable drive.
All bearings are from world renowned manufacturers to ensure the highest quality. Also every hub shell and axle are produced in their Barnoldswick factory and checked and inspected to the highest degree.
Silca thought long and hard about the design of the Italian Army Knife and have managed to reduce the thickness of the tool. The Extreme Weather Neoprene Overshoes are the most protective of dhb's overshoe collection. The 3.5mm-thick neoprene provides the ultimate in insulation against both the cold and wet. Further protection comes via the TPU skin on the external face. This non-porous and flexible skin prevents rain from being absorbed into the surface of the overshoe. The underside of the overshoes feature a robust Kevlar material, extending around the toe and heel to prevent excessive wear when walking in the overshoes. The holes in the base for the cleats are shaped to fit snugly, minimising the amount of road spray entering the shoe from below. A durable, size 5, lockdown, YKK zip at the rear makes it easy to get them on and off.
