Smartshock® Rotational Protective System While most standard cycle helmets are great at dealing with straight-on impacts, oblique, angular impacts are in fact more likely to occur. These create rotational acceleration and deceleration forces to the head and brain. The Smartshock Rotational System combats those extra forces via a suspension system seamlessly integrated into the helmet. This innovative fully suspended system through compression of direct impacts while elastomers allow inner and outer to move independently of each other. Both features help reduce energy transfer to the brain over a wide range of speed and impact types.
