The Park Tool CC-4 is a drop-in style gauge that measures bicycle chain wear. The laser cut CC-4 accurately measures a long section of chain and strategically comes in contact with the chain in three places, quickly and easily taking the guesswork out of knowing when chain replacement is necessary. A worn chain will cause poor shifting as well as accelerate drivetrain wear. The tool works on any 5 to 12-speed derailleur chain (including SRAM AXS) and is designed to accurately indicate when a chain reaches .5% and .75% wear, the points at which most chain manufacturers suggest replacement.

Traditionally, a mechanic would slam a tube down onto the bearing surface to set the race in place. The CRS1 offers a different approach that offers faster, safer, and more precise installation. The bearing surface is spared a direct hit by using different inserts to ensure proper fit on the race. Choose the correct insert then slide the tube over the fork tube and into the top end of the insert. Using a hammer, tap firmly on the end cap of the tube and seat the race into its proper place safely and accurately. The CRS1 set includes one universal setting tube, three 1 inserts, and three 1-1/8 inserts.
