The Castelli Superleggera Bibshort is designed for the hottest conditions and is the latest iteration in Castellis quest to build the most lightweight bibshort. Castelli has been developing lightweight bibshorts since 2011, but when designing the Superleggera Bibshort Castelli went back to the drawing board to rethink every aspect of the shorts design. Castelli decided that what the short needs to do is hold the seat pad securely in place while adding as little weight as possible and retaining durability. The solution was to engineer a brand-new fabric that is woven rather a knit, saving 30% in weight for the same level of support. Castelli also worked with a world leading mill to create a graded fabric that becomes increasingly lighter the further down the leg it extends. At the lightest point, this fabric weighs 90g/m2 compared to normal short fabric which weighs roughly 220g/m2. The result of these new technologies is a bibshort that weighs an incredibly light 141g in size large. The fabric construction saves weight, but it really comes into its own when riding hard in hot conditions as it absorbs 30% less moisture compared to normal short fabric. This means that while the fabric saves 48g in weight when dry, it saves closer to 150g when youre sweating your way up Cols and pushing yourself to your absolute limit. Key Features Premium lightweight short for hot weather Gradient stretch woven fabric for minimal weight with optimum support Minimalist stripe mesh bib to minimise weight and keep you cool Integrated gripper elastic to keep shorts in place Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad Temperature comfort range of 20 40C Weight 141g (Large)

The traditional drop shape on the Superleggera LTD’s is favoured by both racing professionals and experienced traditionalists, as it helps the rider to smooth out their riding position changes. Comfortable and Lightweight Reducing the overall weight of your bike can have a major effect on your performance and as this bar only weighs 166g in its 42cm size, there’s nothing to hold you back. Also, to increase the structural integrity and ensure you remain comfortable on longer rides, there’s a constant taper on the centre section. This ergonomic design improves the hand comfort in all riding positions.
The Deda Superleggera RS model is made from HR40 Carbon Fibre and a special resin that allows Deda to create a very compact composite, shaving off every excess gram of weight. This, combined with the updated Superleggero RS stem results in an unbeatable weight.

Cushioned with a special PEBAX padding, this Aspide keeps your sit bones protected on day-long rides and ensures your sensitive areas are kept pressure-free with its innovative perineal cut-out. Carbon-shelled, it gives a stiff structure and at only 109g, maintains a super-low weight for a streamlined performance on every outing. DNA carbon rails supply a firm and reliable attachment while the saddle is rounded out with a breathable, easy-movement Microfeel cover, resulting in a comfortable and composed experience. Technologies: PEBAX: San Marco introduces the PEBAX foam in the saddles industry. A new material for the padding with extraordinary key technological benefits such as the ultra-light weight (40% lighter than the best EVA used on saddles). DNA Carbon: The crossing X shape knot (Dynamic Node Action) increases the rigidity of the rail, avoiding spin and torsion without compromising on comfort. Longer than most carbon rails on the market, it allows one of the best forward and backward saddle adjustments around.
Benefitting from Deda’s well-known and race-proven RHM (rapid hand movement) philosophy isn’t the only plus point with these bars. A must-have bar for those who want to give their bike some lass and to increase its performance, the Superleggera 35 adopts the larger 35mm bar clamping standard. Used in conjunction with 35mm bars, this system offers ultra-precise steering and optimised power transfer when you’re giving it your all.
Castelli have long been pioneers of lightweight shorts for hot-weather cycling but in pursuit of lighter weights, durability can be compromised. The Superleggera Bib Shorts are a result of Castelli's design team looking for an innovative way to achieve performance in the heat without over-compromising durability. Hot Weather Cycling. No Sweat. It starts with Castelli using a cutting-edge development in woven fabric rather than the traditional knit fabric of standard shorts. This reduces weight by some 50% while still offering the same level of muscle support and non-transparency. Uniquely, the fabric is also graded so that it becomes lighter as you move down the leg. The last part of the leg weighs a mere 90 g/m² compared to the usual 220 g/m² of standard cycling shorts. Less weight equals greater comfort as the heat rises. Reduced moisture absorption is also key to the Superleggera's comfort and lack of weight. When dry, the shorts weigh a measly 141 grams. However, they actually absorb 30% less moisture too, so when you really get a sweat on they stay light. Compared to normal shorts that could be as much as 150 grams in weight saved - a welcome boost to power to your weight ratio as you head upwards. While being barely-there light the fabric is durable and abrasion-resistant against the saddle too - though something this light won't like you hitting the tarmac so ride safe and rubber side down. The bib section of the shorts is borrowed from the Free Aero Race 4 Bib shorts for perfect support, comfort and moisture management while stretch-woven grippers, with Lycra, keep the shorts locked in place over the thighs. Progetto X2 Air Seamless Seat Pad Inside the shorts is Castelli's fabulously comfortable Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad. So what exactly makes it so comfortable? It starts with the first contact point against the skin. This upper skin-care material is now seamless and even softer than previous versions letting you enjoy smooth and chafe-free pedalling, no matter the distance. The next layer, Castelli’s infinitely variable thickness padding, imparts just the right level of support where you need it, thicker under the sit bones and thinner on the sides and under the perineum - the result is intense comfort with reduced bulk. Lastly, to really push home superior comfort levels, perforated viscous padding is added under the highly sensitive ischial and perineum pressure areas, offering luxurious support when you're on the saddle for hours on end.
Made from lightweight Meryl® Skinlife yarns and featuring mesh zones over the top of the foot and ankle, the Superleggera T 12 Cycling Socks excel in the heat of summer. A mid-foot support band enhances comfort while antimicrobial silver ions prevent the build-up of odours when the going gets sweaty.
