Our challenge with the Integra 35 stems, was to keep the strength, stiffness and durability of the larger 35mm diameter package at the same weight as the 31.8mm equivalent.The strength, stiffness and durability were all matched to the 31.8mm equivalent, with and average of just 1.5g added to the Integra.The new Integra 35 Direct Mount stems feature the same lightweight, 6-bolt design as the original Integra II and Renthal have improved the structure of the stem.The Integra 35 uses the same C-shape clamping system as the Apex stem range, which has been increased in size to cope with the demands of top level DH racing. The use of two independent, C-shape handlebar clamps allows the stem body material to be reduced to a minimum, whilst maintaining an incredibly stiff and strong structure.The ultra-wide, 64mm handlebar clamping area increases torsional rigidity and the use of just six bolts vastly reduces overall weight. In addition, the uninterupted clamp on the underside of the handlebar eliminates stress risers found on most other clamps, which can lead to handlebar failure.The size range has also now increased to include 45mm and 50mm lengths. The clamps are inserted over the small diameter section of the handlebar and slid into the centre, giving a 240deg wrap of the handlebar.The Renthal Apex construction comprises a fully CNC machined 2014 aluminium body and 7075 aluminium clamps. An oversize centre bore, extensive 3-D machining and external webbing maximise structural strength and stiffness and minimise weight.Continuing Renthal's philosophy of giving the customer the choice in set-up, the stem is available in 33, 40, 50, and 60mm lengths.
