The independent reach adjust features on the brake and shift levers are easier to access to quickly adjust for every hand size. Finally, the shape of the hoods has been completely redesigned with a smaller diameter and higher top shape to increase the rider's control and improve finger wrapReach Adjust: Brake lever fit and feel is a personal thing. Riders have individual positioning preferences, as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. Reach Adjust makes it easy to adjust your lever for maximum one-finger control for everyoneZeroLoss: ZeroLoss simply means, well, zero loss—when you push on the lever, for an upshift or down shift, the cable is engaged instantly—zero loss of movement. There is no middle-ground where you're waiting for the shift to come. Gear changes are instant and preciseDoubleTap:What It Is: DoubleTap is the flagship technology leading SRAM's road gruppo revolution. It's a simple yet elegant and advanced system that addresses issues - Without compromising on performance, comfort, and weight - with a revolutionary shift/brake lever designWhat It Does: DoubleTap makes changing gears easier and faster, eliminating the cumbersome and awkward engagement associated with two-lever systems. DoubleTap handles up- and downshifts in one short, sweeping motion, with minimal effort and maximum comfort no matter where you are on the barsHow It Works: DoubleTap uses two pawls, one for holding the ratchet wheel, and one for transporting it up and down through the gear change. The pawls are arranged in a way so that they can leapfrog each other depending on how far, and with how much pressure, you push the shift lever. With short, rapid taps the transport pawl (04) moves the ratchet wheel (02) up through the shifting range. Downshifting comes via a longer sweep of the lever (in the same inward direction you upshift, but to an ergonomically maximized 15° angle) with the holding pawl (03) and the transport pawl leapfrogging each other quickly and smoothlyLocation, Location, Location: DoubleTap's one-motion unidirectional levers (05) work flawlessly no matter what position you're shifting from. Its double-articulated design (01), which is completely separate from the brake pivot, is easily engaged from the hoods or the dropsUnlike all other forward controls, DoubleTap also lets you pull the shift lever in against the bars so you can upshift while sprinting or attacking without giving up a firm gripDivide and Conquer: On DoubleTap controls, the brake and shift levers are completely independent, each operating with their own pivot points. This not only allows for the multiposition functionality, it also eliminates the risk of engaging brakes or shifters unintentionally - an unfortunate side effect of other shift/brake lever designsWhat It Means To You: The efficient and ergonomic design reduces weight and eliminates bulk while adding comfort. You can shift from any position on the bars, even while sprinting, giving you a critical advantage over your competition, and our new single-lever mechanism also lets you shift faster, easier, and with more accuracy, without risk of scrubbing speed or losing your grip. DoubleTap is the cornerstone of SRAM's assault on road biking. It's a new way of shifting - and a new way of thinking - that will put you ahead of the competition, no matter where you find itBuy SRAM Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

SRAM Rival 22 11-Speed BB30 Chainset - Double - 50/34TCompact172.5mm
  • £172.00
  • RRP £203.00
  • Saving you £15

Slotting in just below the excellent Force groupset is the updated Rival group which now offers 22 gears, but unlike the Force group it is constructed from aluminium to help keep the price down. Featuring super-stiff, 5mm 7075-T6 CNC-machined aluminum chainrings, the crank utilizes the same X-Glide R precision-shifting technology pioneered on SRAM's revolutionary XX mountain groupset. Shifting is not just smooth, it's lightning-fast, with no "shift lag" as you wait for the chain to connect with the ramp pins on upshifts. The aluminum arms join a machined alloy spider, creating a tremendously stiff package that doesn't weigh all that much more than its carbon equivalents. The Rival 22 crankset, like all SRAM 22-speed drivetrain cranks, is designed to work with any of the company's Yaw front derailleurs, which rotates the cage as it shifts, improving shifting precision and eliminating the need for trimming to avoid chain contact with the cage's rear edges. The crankset, chain, and front derailleur are designed to work in unison, and when properly configured, it's one of the finest drivetrains at any price point.Chainring Sets: 52/36TBB30 Bearings Not Included

SRAM Rival 22 11-Speed DoubleTap Single Shifter - Front
  • £102.00
  • RRP £136.00
  • Saving you £25

Although Rival sits below Force in the SRAM line, it benefits from the same technology, which in turn has trickled down from SRAM's top-of-the-line Red group. This includes a move to 11-speed technology. so you'll have 2 additional gears. Probably the main feature that you will feel immediately is the ErgoFit textured body. The redesigned body is shaped to better contour the shifter to the bar transition and is very much textured to add grip, with a better finger wrap around. The grip is increased and the comfort is improved even further. The aluminium lever blade is extended a little to make the reach easier from the drops, and both the gear and brake levers are individually reach adjustable to get that perfect tailored fit. Zero Loss shifting is probably one reason that Red is used to so much success in the Pro Peloton; it means there is no lever movement before engagement - move the shifter and the shifting immediately engages.NB: Compatible with cable brakes - not suitable for hydraulic brakes

SRAM Rival 22 11-Speed Front Derailleur
  • £37.60
  • RRP £47.00
  • Saving you £20

The new SRAM Rival 22 front derailleur shares many of the same great design features as the top of the range Red 22 and Force 22 derailleurs but comes in at a more wallet friendly price. Like the more expensive models the Rival 22 front derailleur features YAW technology which means that the derailleur adjusts its yaw relative to the chain line. In other words, the derailleur cage rotates to align perfectly with the chain in any given position. This not only improves shifting accuracy and speed, it eliminates the need to "trim" the derailleur to prevent the maddening chain rub that can occur toward the back of the derailleur's cage, regardless of what chainring/cog combination you select. As Rival 22 is 11-speed it also features the revolutionary integrated chain spotter, which protects against chain drop, against scratches, and against frustration. The Chain Spotter can be removed, or adjusted independently of the derailleur's position, so it's configurable to any frameset. Compatibility: SRAM Red 22, Force 22 & Rival 22 Shift-Brake levers/ SRAM R2C Aero SL-1190, R2C Aero SL-1150, 900 Aero & 500 Aero shiftersMounting Options: Braze-OnWeight: 75g (Braze-On), Chain Spotter with Hardware 10g

WiFLi™ WiFLi = Wider - Faster - Lighter SRAM's WiFLi Technology is based on the compact 2 x 10 or 11 - two front chainrings and 10 or 11 gears in the rear - design inherent in SRAM RED 22, Force 22, Rival 22 and Apex, which delivers a wider range of gears, up to 11-32, than your standard triple, faster shifts through two chainrings and every gear on the rear cassette, and with significant weight saving. WiFLi cassettes are also available for Force CX1. Exact Actuation When we launched our road technology from scratch we reapplied our MTB proven SRAM 1:1 actuation ratio (shifter cable travel : dérailleur movement) for 10 speed rear shifting. EA helps to simplify/stabilize the uneasy act of balancing rear dérailleur hanger design, tight cog spacing and exact cable tension. The result: the easiest index shifting system to set up and it stays that way. AeroGlide Pulleys New tooth pulley design with a sound damping effect for a super efficient and silent ride experience. Bottom and top pulleys benefit from this feature.
