These end caps can be used to convert your hub to a different spacing or replace a lost cap. Compatibility Chart & How to Fit End Caps Please click here to determine which hubs can be converted, as the caps only fit the original specific hub options. End Caps: Changing end caps is simple and no tools are required. Just pull off the end caps on the hub and then push the new ones on. Where the end caps are not identical, the non-driveside always has the wider flange to cover the bearing. All caps sold as pairs and only compatible with Nukeproof Neutron V2 hubs.
A new hub seal and bushing is supplied with Nukeproof freehubs. To avoid damage to the hub seal, turn the freehub anti-clockwise as you fit. Please Note: The new hub seal will be fitted to the freehub for transport purposes. This needs to be removed from the freehub by pressing the pawls BEFORE fitting the freehub. Options: Shimano HG Shimano Microspline SRAM XD If you have a HG / XD hub and want to convert to microspline, you will need Nukeproof's microspline conversion kit which can be found here. For step-by-step fitting instructions click here. Freehubs: Installation Instructions: 1. Remove driveside end cap 2. Pull off old freehub turning anticlockwise as you pull 3. Check hub seal for damage, if it is damaged remove the seal 4. If seal was removed, press on new seal 5. Apply grease hub ratchet ring 6. Apply thin grease to freehub pawls & springs then push onto hub shell turning anticlockwise 7. Refit driveside end cap
This kit contains all the parts needed to convert your 148mm Nukeproof Neutron HG / XD hub to have a microspline freehub. Please note this kit requires the hub to be stripped, a step by step guide to do this can be found here.
This set contains four pawls and four springs, plus a plastic cover for the freehub.
142mm, 148mm and 150mm axle options available. You will need to choose the correct axle to suit your hub spacing. Please note that the 148mm axle you require will depend if you are using a HG / XD or Microspline freehub.
