The Respro Techno filter is suitable for use in heavily polluted environments, ie, air that is full of diesel particulates and respirable dusts that lodge deep within the lungs and air sacs. It is a combination of the Sports filter and the City filter giving you both sub-micron particle filtration with gas and vapour filtration. What this means is that the filter is able to trap particles less than one micron in size.

The sports filter has sub-micron filtration capability. What this means is that it is able to trap particles less than one micron in size which is more than capable of the removal of 2.5 micron particulate material (PM). Typically particulate pollution in the cities appears to be in the 2.5 micron size range. Particles smaller than this are known as respirable dusts, which can lodge deep within the lungs. This is the more dangerous type of particle pollution as chemicals from vehicle exhaust gases combustion known to be toxic, are carried by means of the respirable particles. Hence the need for a Hepa-type™ submicron particle filter. The Cinqro™ filter pack contains TWO replacement sports filters for use in Respro masks.
The filter is replaceable, and is designed to be effective for at least 1 month in normal daily use. The two Techno valves allow easier exhalation, which is particularly important as they release heat, water vapour and Carbon Dioxide.
These Respro Sportsta Mask Filters have a hypo-allergenic layer preventing any irritation to the face as a result of the accumulation of particulate material and have a wicking effect to ensure that the surface remains dry. The Respro Sportsta Filters also have an extremely low inhalation resistance compared with other particle filters.
The filter is replaceable and is designed to remain effective until a noticeable discolouration of the filter occurs. The two Powa valves allow unimpeded exhalation, which is particularly important as they release heat, water vapour and Carbon Dioxide. Sportsta Protection: This mask is subject to testing which has been proven it to give 99% filtration of particulates smaller than PM2.5 (2.5 microns) and in fact, has been shown to be effective to filter microns up to ten times smaller; 0.3 microns. An important aspect of the effectiveness of mask filtration is how well they fit. If the mask doesn't fit well and air can pass through the gap where it fits, then it won't be effective; hence why multiple sizes are available. For improved air flow and comfort the two Powa Elite valves on the Cinqro mask allow faster air flow characteristics when breathing out at elevated rates. This equates to less back pressure, less dampness in the filter, improved filtration, lower inhalation resistance all of which result in improved comfort and performance. The Cinqro package incorporates a complete mask fitted with a Hepa-Type particle filter for filtering submicron particles like diesel smoke, pollen, brake lining dust and any aqueous water vapour particles that can carry various chemicals in the air. A spare DACC chemical/particle filter is also supplied as part of the package allowing filter interchange ability making the Cinqro mask suitable for use in a wider variety of environments from inner cities to the countryside.
