This superb model features a CNC machined Spider for SRAM 1X cranks with this lockring spline. This is a genuine Rotor part.
Its aluminium spider saves weight and the high-quality stainless steel surface ensures powerful and consistent braking performance. Please note: These brake discs are NOT compatible to disc brakes with brake pads that have a guiding nose under the brake caliper like Avid BB7, Avid Juicy, Hayes HFX and Hayes MX1.
The clad steel/alloy/steel rotor construction of the Shimano SLX M7000 model allows heat generated from braking to radiate quickly through the aluminium core achieving surface temperature drops of around 50 degrees C. When used with Ice-Tech brake pads, surface temperatures can drop from around 400 to 300 degrees C. This provides great improvements in performance. Ice Tech rotors achieve long pad life, less noise and less fade due to improved heat dispersion. Plus, the rotor contact surface has been developed for excellent pad clearing and cooling which increases pad performance and life.
This Shimano Ice Tech rotor comes equipped with a special Ice Tech design that has been tested and proven to reduce the surface temperature by around 100 degrees Celsius. Thanks to the better-improved pad clearance, the 105 RT70 road bike disc brake rotor offers reduced noise reduction and comes complete with the lockring for a strong and stable ride.
Ekar’s rotors are strong 1.85mm thick stainless tempered steel. They are designed to stay straight and true, long-term, even under heavy and sustained braking. Available in 140 and 160mm diameters to suit your riding style or for an additional weight saving potential.
