Specifically designed for use with Hope's own cranksets, this Hope Oval Retainer Ring opens up a wide range of tooth count options compared to the standard 4-bolt type. Its specifically tuned 12% ovality helps to smooth out your pedalling action and make those extended climbs to the top of the trails less painful. Also, when you're on the way back down again, you'll enjoy excellent chain retention thanks to its narrow/wide tooth profile. When used along with a clutch style rear mech, you don't need a chainguide, so overall weight is reduced and your drivetrain runs quieter and with less drag.
