Due to the new slightly larger, 24.2mm outer rim width, this wheelset also accommodates much wider tyres than the previous model - drastically improving rider comfort as well as control and grip out on the road. While carbon rims have historically had a reputation for poor braking, with the development of AC3 (All Conditions Carbon Control) technology, Campagnolo has broken the mould. By applying this technology to the braking track, the Campagnolo Bora Ultra's offer a 40% improvement in braking performance in the wet, and 20% better braking performance in drier conditions. At the centre of these wheels are a set of oversized, high flanged carbon-fibre hubs. These are filled with Campagnolo's proprietary CULT ceramic bearings, designed to help the wheels spin smoother, for longer.
