The V12 has been an iconic pedal, scratch that, legendary pedal since it was first launched 18 years ago but now it has been freshened up for the first time. There wasn't anything wrong with the old style V12 pedal but DMR felt it was time to give the old workhorse a slight makeover. These new V12's feature a 10 percent wider platform which enables better grip for your foot and allows you to take bigger hits than ever before. The pedal has been made slightly thinner and is now just 16mm deep whilst still maintaining the V12's much loved concave shape. All this stacks up to bring this pedal bang up to date and as they now weigh it at under 430g these pedals are ready for all styles of riding.
The legendary DMR V12 pedal has recently been slightly redesigned which gave the team at DMR a lightbulb moment so create a pedal which had similar features to the V12 but came in a whole load cheaper, the V6 was born. The V6 features the same aesthetic shape as the new V12 but the pedal bpdy is construced using Nylon which makes it perfect for new riders and children alike. Shift performance will be compromised as the timing will not be correct. Q: Can I use the 42t expander cog on my 34t cassette? A: The 42t expander cog WILL NOT work with 34t max cassettes. A 6 tooth jump is the maximum for good shifts. Q: I have a short cage dérailleur on my bike. Will that work? A: We recommend a medium or long cage dérailleur Q: Why do you only have a 42t expander cog for SRAM cassettes A: The 40t is available only for Shimano as SRAM is not offering a 34t cassette. Q: Is it hard to setup the expander cog? A: It's really not too hard, but you are working at the extreme limits of your rear dérailleur. If you have specific questions about the setup and adjustment, we recommend heading to your local bike shop. Q: I have a really worn drivetrain. Will the expander cog work ok on my bike? A: Old drivetrain components could cause poor shifting performance. We recommend a new chain and a new or well-cared for cassette.
