The Sniper is sleek looking, using cold-forged 6066-T6 alloy and utilizing all the modern elements from previous levers. One of the main differences with the lever is the attention to detail eclat put into the barrel joint, in the past levers have always suffered here with over tightening and threading. eclat use stronger cromoly in this area so alignment is never compromised while tightening the barrel.

The Box One Brake Arms are cold forged and CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. Cold forging produces the strongest, stiffest, lightest weight and most durable bicycle parts. Both sizes feature 35 millimetres of vertical brake pad adjustment—more than most linear-pull brakes. Fly Brake pads from Fly using their new SPS (Simple Pad System). These pads use a female bolt and two cone washers which screw into the pad to allow easier brake adjustment and eliminates the bolt sticking out.

The Manual brake cable is about as tech as a cable gets, with its spiral shell casing that ensures durability and consistent brake feel when wound up for tailwhips or barspins, an inner stainless cable with Teflon coating for flawless performance and the smoothest pull possible. Literally capping things off, two very unique aluminum CNC machined cable ferrules that have an internal cone shape that not only pushes the outer cable away from the inner cable to ensure zero bind, but also helps avoid “cable blowout” where the outer cable potentially pushes through a conventional ferrule, found only on Manual brake cables.
The Manual CNC lever comes with improved machined details and smoother edges on some critical areas without compromising the CNC look. The previous version came with oversized brass bushings that reduced wobble and on this one Fly have gone one step further. They are now using the super smooth and strong IGUS bushings that not only reduces the wobble, but totally eliminates it!
