When Castelli engineered the first aero jersey for road racing back in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aero was only for TTs. Performance clothing meant moisture management. And you could win the Tour de France with a baggy jersey that was little more than a polyester T-shirt. Even our aerodynamic consultants expected limited gains, so we named the jersey Split Second, though, like now, we thought even small gains were worth pursuing. In the end the gains were pretty substantial, and we completely revolutionized the look of the pro peloton. We're now on the sixth major revision of our aero jersey. Each generation has become more aero and better fitting. The Aero Race 6.0 benefits heavily from CFD analysis of wake flow in the riding position for fabric and seam placement. It also benefits from pro riders' feedback, as we've worked to make the jersey comfortable for their long hours of training and then racing in every possible weather condition. CFD-based fabric placement and seam construction Engineered for aero efficiency at 30 to 55 km/h Airflow shoulder construction Velocity Rev2 fabric on front and sleeve 3D mesh back for breathability Elbow-length stretch sleeves with raw-cut edge YKK® Vislon® zipper Drop tail allows perfect pocket placement while keeping jersey fitting well at waist 18-35°C / 64-95°F Weight: 109 g

The Free Aero Race 4 Women's Shorts represent a significant evolution from earlier models of Castellis best-selling shorts and holding the Free Aero Race 4s's place as the ultimate race shorts. Dimpling on the legs stops air attaching to the fabric so that air comes off cleanly and allows for better print quality too. The leg gripper features a lie-flat raw-cut edge with vertical silicone stripes to keep it in place without restricting stretch and leg movement. The panelling has improved fit for support while making the shorts look even cleaner. The shorts use Progetto X2 Air Seamless Donna women's-specific seat pad, with the softest fabric youve ever felt. Key Features Vortex dimpled fabric on legs for aero performance Forza fabric on inner legs with 38% Lycra content for a perfect fit Stripe mesh engineered lie-flat bib strap construction keeps you cool Giro4 leg gripper elastic for better grip distributed over a larger area Doppio V construction in front for increased comfort Flat-lock stitching Progetto X2 Air Seamless Donna women's specific seat pad 15-35C / 59-95F Weight: 156g
Performance Perfected After 12 years of evolution and huge kilometres of on the road testing, where exactly have the Castelli design team squeezed out even greater comfort and performance from the already exemplary Women's Free Aero Race shorts? Well, the heart of any great shorts is the seat pad and for this year the women's specific Progetto X2 Air Donna is more flexible than ever with a new seamless top layer giving you a pad that is virtually unnoticeable and it's possibly the softest pad you'll ever use. New GIRO4 leg grippers get enhanced stretch and yet are grippier than previous versions so the pressure is spread wider but without any loss of traction on the thighs. While these improvements are subtle, they all add up to a major step up in comfort, providing support on both the longest and shortest rides. Progetto X2 Air Seamless Donna Women's Seat Pad Let's look at the Progetto X2 Air Seamless Donna in more detail and see just why it's so incredibly comfortable. The first contact point against the skin, the upper skin-care material, is now seamless and even softer than previous versions letting you enjoy smooth and chafe-free pedalling. The next layer, Castelli’s infinitely variable thickness padding, imparts just the right level of support where you need it, thicker under the sit bones and thinner on the sides and under the perineum - the result is intense comfort with reduced bulk. Lastly, to really push home superior comfort levels, perforated viscous padding is added under the highly sensitive ischial and perineum pressure areas, offering luxurious support when you're on the saddle for hours on end. Pro Performance The Women's Free Aero Race 4 shorts are designed with a focus on race performance which has naturally led to a short that is minimalist in its construction, boasts slippery aerodynamics and yet is incredibly comfortable for both long races and tough training sessions. Updated seams improve the fit and they now sit on the body even better giving you unrivalled freedom of movement. When it comes to comfort on race day and your longest of training days we think you'll soon discover why these shorts are loved by the Pros.

The Nano Nanoflex Pro 2 Race Bib Shorts are a continuation and evolution of the race-ready and pioneering Omloop thermal shorts. First created for racing and inspired by Pro riders who improvised longer shorts at the early season Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, these latest shorts keep the extra 10 centimetres length to provide more warmth over the knees. The major leap forward to performance comes by the way of the Nano Flex fabric. Soft, stretchy, breathable and as warm as their Thermoflex fabric, it’s superb in cold dry weather but this material provides extra protection on wet days. The soft fleecy inner is luxuriously warm too. For early season races and training where the weather can turn quickly from good to bad and back again, there’s nothing better. As you’d expect, Castelli gets the details just right too. Fewer seams prevent water ingress while also reducing areas that could chafe. And a mesh bib section improves moisture control and lets you easily tailor your base-layer to suit your specific riding conditions. Then there’s the superb Progetto X2 Air seamless seat pad inside. Utilising ventilating perforations, it keeps you more comfortable on endurance road rides. The design allows air and moisture to flow directly to the surface fabric for quick evaporation maintaining dryness. The seat pad is constructed with three-layer components, each dedicated to a specific purpose to create the most comfortable seat pad available. Created as a pro-rider tool for spring Classics racing, the Nanoflex Pro 2 Race Bib Shorts offers you outstanding comfort and performance for your very own spring racing and training endeavours.
From Split Second to Aero 6.0 The original Castelli aero jersey for road racing first saw light in 2006. It was known as the Split Second jersey. It was at a time when aerodynamics was only really considered important for time trials. Baggy cycling jerseys were the norm until that very first Castelli aero focused jersey appeared. However, with every new version of the jersey, the aerodynamic advantages have proved to be worth far more than just a few split seconds. It’s now known as the Aero Race 6.0 Cycling Jersey - designed to take your velocity up another notch. Using CFD (Computational Flow Dynamics) to analyse wake-flow, the Aero Race 6.0 will fit you even better when you're in an aggressive riding position while seam placement has been optimised to minimise drag. At speeds of between 30 and 55 km/h, the aerodynamic efficiency is optimised giving more speed without an increase of power output compared to a standard jersey. Same training. Same power. More speed. You could almost call it free speed. Cool and Fuelled Of course, riding fast, whether in training or racing, is going to generate heat. That, in turn, leads to sweat. However, the Aero Race 6.0 isn't just efficient through the air it's also efficient in dealing with moisture too. Quick wicking and with a 3D mesh back you'll be cooler and drier as you push hard on the pedals. To keep you up to speed and fully fuelled for your ride, the pockets are easily accessible when stuffed with gels and thanks to the drop tail design the jersey remains sleek even when they're loaded up. The Aero Race 6.0 Jersey is Castelli's most aerodynamically advanced design to date and yet it's also their best fitting too - Just ask their WorldTour professional riders. A remarkably comfortable high-performance cycling jersey whether it's your longest days in the saddle or a short and intense criterium race.
A completely new approach for sprint and short distance racing the Castelli Women's SD Team Race Tri Suit has been developed in close collaboration with the German Triathlon Federation (DTU) with aims to design a suit that's ready for any battle on the ITU (International Triathlon Union) circuit. In ITU racing you can't afford to lose valuable seconds in the water due to bad equipment. Therefore high-performance fabrics and optimised patterning for best aerodynamics and comfort on the bike till the finish line offer everything you'd expect from a suit that has to prove suitability on the highest level of pro racing.
