However, if you wish to use them with shoes that have Shimano SPD cleats installed they will be compatible with these too.
Whether you're riding for the fun of it or pushing for the top spot on the podium, the Look Keo 2 Max Carbon pedals give you the best of both worlds with a slim profile and incredible support from the large contact area that translates into superior comfort and maximum power transfer. Technologies: Optimised Surface Contact: The Look Keo 2 Max Carbon pedal’s surface area has substantial symbolic importance. It is part of the brand’s identity and acts as an indelible signature on the product. The contact surface of these revised Keo 2 Max Carbon pedals preserves the strong lines on which its history was built. Its width has been increased to 60 mm to provide a larger platform and improved foot stability during pedalling. This creates a feeling of unrivalled comfort not found in any other pedal. Look also sought to optimise power transfer thanks to its larger 500 mm² of usable surface (+25% increase). The shape of the stainless-steel plate has been revised to match that of the cleat and to keep, regardless of the position of your foot (depending upon the angular float you use), the same amount of contact for consistent performance. Increasing the pedal’s usable contact surface, without any additional weight gain, improves the power to weight ratio, making the product even better and allowing you to perform at your best. Improved Spindle Profile: The spindle profile of the Keo 2 Max Carbon pedals has also been optimised. Built around an oversized CrMo+ steel axle, it is composed of an axle with an inner ball bearing and a needle roller bearing, located under the contact surface, to handle the load and distribute it optimally. A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the needle roller bearing in place, has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases fluidity, and by consequence, decreases the geometrical tolerances of the pedal body and play. The sole purpose of the sum of these improvements has been to guarantee you irreproachable reliability. Alternative Cleat Float Options: Black Cleats: 0 degrees; Red Cleats: 9 degrees (both alternative versions sold separately)
Simple to use, it is possible to adjustment the cleat entry/release tension to low for an easy clip out. Its large and wide contact surface provides excellent pedalling stability. The Kéo Classic 3 spindle is made up of an oversized steel axle with miniature ball bearings (12 mm inside x 18 mm outside) and a needle bearing cartridge for improved wear resistance. A spacer is used to hold the needle bearing cartridge in place. LOOK spindles are only approved after a rotational test of 2 million cycles at 100tr/min with a load of 90kg on the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (creating a shock on each rotation). This test is far more gruelling to the current industry standard, the EN14781. The new classic two has 400 mm² surface area which is almost 40% more than the competition. The significance of this is the load is spread around the cleat rather than having a small concentrated area, which improves comfort and reduced foot discomfort.
It has the same concave footprint and narrow profile that DMR pedals are known for, whilst spinning on their new Dual DU bush system.
Over its 18 years of production the V12 has become recognized as the benchmark for flat pedal performance. For 2014 we took our iconic V12 body design and redefined it. Here’s how it’s better than before: LARGER PLATFORM AREA The new V12 [Mg] offers 10% more surface area than the classic shape. This means better grip and also support for rougher conditions and bigger hits. LOWER PROFILE At just 16mm deep the V12 [Mg] is as slim as we could go whilst still retaining our legendary concave feel. LIGHTER WEIGHT There is a 20% weight saving from the last V12 [Mg] weighing just 350g.

Every aspect of the Zero Aero pedal design has been painstakingly tailored to boost speed by minimising wind drag. Developed specifically for Time Trials and Triathlons where every second counts, the Zero Aero Pedal System provides more speed with the same power. Aerodynamic Due to its aerodynamic advantage, the Zero Aero Pedal System was chosen by Bradley Wiggins to set the UCI World Hour Record of 54.526 km on June 7, 2015, at the Lee Valley Olympic Velodrome in London. The average speed of the historic ride was 33.88 mph. Considered the holy grail of cycling achievements, the Hour Record is an honour earned by the cyclist who covers the greatest distance in kilometers in one hour. Large, stable cycling platform The Zero Aero Pedal System provides the same solid connection as conventional single-sided pedals, but with Speedplay's unique, inverted design the cleat provides the platform once the cleat is engaged. Quality without compromise Zero Aero pedals use precision cartridge and needle bearings - three of them instead of two found in most other pedals - which allows the Zero Aero to be thinner for a lower stack height, better cornering clearance, and reduced aerodynamic drag. Like all Speedplay Pedal Systems, the locking edges of Zero Aero pedals and cleats are metal-on-metal for durability and safety, unlike their competitors who use engagement edges made of plastic. Foot adjustments No other pedal system offers the precise adjustment or convenience of independently adjustable fore-aft, side-to-side, and rotational foot positions. Unlike the inexact set-up of traditional cleats, each of the three critical foot-axis adjustments of Zero Aero Walkable™ Cleats can be set or changed without affecting the position of the other two adjustments. This feature also eliminates guesswork and misalignment when replacing cleats.

Without a doubt, the V8 mountain bike (MTB) pedals have been for several years now, consistently the UK's best-selling flat pedals, offering a great balance between form, function and a reasonable price. The V8 is a solid product with great aesthetics and reliable internals. These pedals run on precision ground loose ball bearings and are serviceable using the provided grease syringe. Corner pins can be tuned for preferred grip (terror pins are available separately). They are also available with a 1/2″ (BMX) axle. Made from aluminium, the DMR V8 bike pedals are ideal for the toughest MTB rides.
The F20's axle is made of high strength Cr-Mo, heat treated and plated. The platform is slightly concave in shape and is supported by one Norglide bush and 3 cartridge bearings in a fully sealed chamber to ensure a long lasting and maintenance free running. The 20 replaceable pins per pedal will provide excellent traction and grip.
The platform now has increased leading and trailing edge height with knurled traction patches above the axle body to increase overall traction. Along with this, an updated pin layout will ensure the rider’s foot remains ‘planted’ on the pedal to provide improved grip and performance. Light and Tough Flat Pedals These Neutron Evo Flat Pedals are lightweight with a nylon-reinforced composite body and sealed cartridge bearings. Super-tough, smooth-spinning and rock-solid underfoot, the Nukeproof Neutron Evo pedals have been designed to offer a lightweight platform that isn’t going to break the bank. The Neutron Evo pedals tip the scales at just 354g for the pair. Durable and Grippy Built using a nylon-reinforced composite material, the Neutron Evo uses sealed cartridge bearings to help spread the stress load from heavy impacts, while rubber lip seals between the axle end and pedal body reduce the ingress of water and dirt. Seven replaceable and adjustable alloy pins per side allow you to customise the level of grip to meet your own requirements. There are also three moulded pins on each side of the pedal for added grip. Installation is done using an 8mm hex key.
