Braking Excellence As with all Shimano products, these are chocked full proprietary technology. Stopping power has been boosted for the R7000 range of shifters, thanks to SLR-EV. SLR-EV is a short-arm brake system, which employs two bearings and roller to offer increased efficiency, modulation, and stopping power. Combined with the BC-9000 brake cable and Shimano claims it will deliver 36% more braking power than the previous model. Ergonomics In Mind The shape of the shifters has been re-vamped and brought into line with the slimmer, more streamlined Ultegra R8000 series.
