The MTB range of disc brake pads is produced in 3 qualities – general cross-country and trekking use downhill racing which needs a high friction “soft” compound and a third quality which is for arduous seriously wet muddy or sandy conditions. This is what is termed EBC gold – a highly durable sintered metal compound for longer life albeit not necessarily for downhillers. There are pads available for most disc brake systems and hardware is included.

The long valve inner tubes enables you to use deep section rims (40mm, 50mm and above) as the shorter valve would not extend out of the rim valve hole.
