Blockish in form, the cage and body are more angular that a traditional pedal.The Esprit design moves the pedal body slightly further away from the crank allowing for some flex when compared to the Sylvan, which provides a smoother ride on rough roads. If the cage becomes damaged it’s easily replaceable using standard tools.
