Merida's heartland has always been bombproof aluminium hardtails. Half a century of frame building experience counts for a lot.The UK version of the Big Nine and Big Seven 15 have been upgraded to use a sophisticated TFS frame featuring the latest technology: full internal cable routing for a clean, neat set up, tapered headtube offering the potential for future upgrades inboard disc brake mounts protect the brake and maximise stopping powerAs much Shimano componentry as possible has been added to complement the modern frame and enhance reliability. There are a wide range of sizes; Big Nine for taller riders and Big Seven for shorter riders with a healthy overlap between the two. For riders in the middle, riding style can be taken into account. If you are looking for speed and efficiency choose a Big Nine, if you are looking for agility chose a Big Seven.
The Scultura has always been the powerhouse of any Merida sponsored or supported ProTour teams powering them to world tour stage victories. The Lite frame uses cutting edge aluminium technology - 6066 series triple butted and hydroformed aluminium tubing with smooth welding to deliver a light responsive frame. The tapered full carbon fork delivers precise steering.
The geometry of the eBig Seven and eBig Nine follows one very simple principle; as sporty as possible, as comfortable as necessary. The addition of a motor makes this perfect for commuting to work without arriving bedraggled or feeling worried about being too tired to make it home. Alternatively, its mountain bike geometry, suspension fork, grippy tyres and powerful brakes offer the opportunity to venture further afield .
Sitting between the Silex and Scultura in the Merida road range the Scultura Endurance is aimed at tarmac adventure riding. The Scultura Endurance geometry is perfectly suited to riders who want to enjoy long hours in the saddle while being comfortable and relaxed on the bike.Endowed with a modern frame design and comfort-orientated geometry the Scultura Endurance has a longer head tube creating a more upright and comfort-orientated seating position. The slacker head tube angle and slightly longer wheelbase give the bike more stability at speedTo increase frame stiffness and steering precision the Scultura Endurance uses 12mm bolt through axles and a full carbon tapered fork. There’s plenty of tyre clearance (up to 35c, or 32c if you are running mudguards), larger volume tyres can be run at lower pressures and provide more comfort even on the most pothole littered country lanes.Merida have used plenty of neat touches such as routing shifting and brake cables through the headset to declutter the cockpit. Even the seat clamp is hidden and the rear seat stay bridge can be removed if it isn’t used to mount mudguards. All Scultura Endurance are equipped with powerful hydraulic disc brakes. Calipers are mounted via the flat mount standard for a neat, flush fit. Calipers sit on top of CNC'd aluminium Disc Cooler fins which reduce operating temperatures by up to 35%.

Team Bahrain Victorious put the fifth generation Scultura thoroughly through its paces, winning mountain top stages of the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana before the bike was even launched.Gen 5 keeps the Scultura's fabled lightweight, agility and rider comfort focus and even manages to improve on both measures. The Scultura now incorporates learnings from the Reacto in terms of aerodynamics; they now share the same race proven geometry.Improving weight, comfort and aerodynamics requires plenty of engineering ingenuity. Round tubes are lighter than aero profiled tubes, fatter tyres are more comfortable but less aerodynamic. There are always compromises to be made. The new Scultura is the most aerodynamic ever and shows outstanding compliance, providing class-leading rider comfort. The marketing blurb suggests this helps keep the body fresh for the final sprint or ascent. A couple of mountain top, grand tour stage victories underline that point quite well!
The eSpresso City has one of the lowest, widest step throughs available. It's the perfect partner for urban riding, offering comfort and practicality. Standard-fit mudguards, lights, lock, rack and kickstand mean you’re ready to go from the moment you leave the shop. Fast rolling 700c wheels are perfect for use in town, on gravel tracks or cycle paths. Wide 50 mm tyres add extra grip and comfort and their reflective sidewalls strips enhance rider safety in low light. Choose between frames such as this with internally mounted batteries or a more affordable, semi-integrated design. All use a powerful Shimano STEPS drive unit with batteries mounted low to aid balance and emulate a natural riding feel. A tapered head tube delivers confidence inspiring handling. All electric bikes have an approved rider and equipment weight of up to 150 kg, meaning there's plenty of capacity for you and your luggage.Strong but controllable hydraulic disc brakes help you stop with ease.

The eOne-Sixty is the headline grabber of the Merida eBike range; for 3 generations it's been winning tests, gathering accolades and generally hogging the limelight! The eOne-Forty shares exactly the same frame and design features but has different ride characteristics. The shock stroke on the eOne-Forty is shorter, reducing rear travel to 133mm and creating a steeper seat angle. The shorter 140mm fork extends the reach, delivering a slightly steeper head angle. In combination these small changes make the eOne-Forty more agile and playful; a highly competent climber that's perfect for all day riding. The mixed wheel size set up is carried over, to give the e-full suspension bikes precise steering, fantastic ‘rolling over obstacles’ behaviour yet maximum traction, a 29er front wheel with a 2.5" tyre is combined with a 650B rear wheel, equipped with a slightly wider 2.6" tyre. The perfect combination of precision, playfulness and traction. All eOne-Forty models use the powerful Shimano EP8 85NM motor and bigger 630Wh battery (with the exception of frame size - S which uses 504Wh).Shimano's e-Tube app allows you to tailor power delivery to suit your riding style; you can set two profiles; one for shredding and one for cruising.
The Merida Reacto has always been a class leading aero bike, combining state of the art aerodynamics with rider comfort. The 4th generation model is more slippery and beautiful than ever, incorporating wider tyres, much neater cockpit cable integration and a series of incremental improvements to boost performance. In the world of Pro-Tour racing no area can be ignored. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations were used to model performance in a virtual wind tunnel, guiding the changes which offered the most aerodynamic benefit: Prototypes were wind tunnel tested following the German TOUR magazine standard, including the ‘moving leg dummy’ test. The Reacto CF5 needs just 209 watts effort for 45 km/h speed, 1 watt faster than its predecessor so it's in the leading group of aero road bikes ever tested by TOUR magazine.Small details such as integrating the front disc cooler behind the fork and the rear disc caliper in the rear triangle and creating new bolt through axles with the thread integrated into the fork dropout minimise drag and improve aerodynamic performance. A myriad of small improvements over-compensate for the aerodynamic compromises made to give the Reacto bigger tyres, resulting in the perfect package of comfort, aerodynamic, lightweight and style. A long string of test wins, perfect scores and awards confirm the successful evolution of the race-proven DNA of the previous model with the latest trends and technologies. Cycling Weekly described it as 'without doubt one of the most complete bikes available on the market', Cyclingnews 'an utterly brilliant and faultless machine' and Cycling Plus were 'hugely impressed'. All Reacto come with powerful hydraulic disc brakes. Calipers are mounted on the chainstay for better dissipation of braking forces using the flat mount standard for a neat, flush fit. Calipers sit on top of CNC'd aluminium Disc Cooler fins which reduce operating temperatures by up to 35%.
Our Reacto has always been a class leading aero bike, combining state of the art aerodynamics and comfort. The 4th generation Reacto is more slippery and beautiful than ever, incorporating wider tyres and much neater cockpit cable integration. With its predecessor delivering almost unrivalled aerodynamic performance we had to look at the smallest incremental improvements. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations modelled performance in a virtual wind tunnel to optimise aerodynamics guiding the changes which gave most aerodynamic benefit: New fork design, smoothly integrated into the frame, significant 2 Watt improvementNew handlebar design completely integrating the cables, saves about 2 watts per cableIncreased gap between the tyre and seat stays and between the tyre and fork crown and blades optimises airflow in those key areas. A lower junction between the seat stays and seat tube further reduces drag. Further small details such as integrating the front disc cooler behind the fork and the rear in the rear triangle and creating new through axles with the thread integrated into the fork dropout also minimise drag and improve aerodynamic performance. All these improvements enable us to over-compensate the aerodynamic compromises made to give the bike bigger tyres. The result: the perfect package of comfort, aerodynamic, lightweight and style. Prototypes were wind tunnel tested following the German TOUR magazine standard, including the ‘moving leg dummy’ test. The new Reacto needs just 209 watts effort for 45 km/h speed, 1 watt faster than its predecessor, and in the leading group of aero road bikes ever tested by TOUR magazine. The 4000 uses a CF3 frame, the same geometry and features, but with more economic fibres used in the carbon lay-up.
