Flys new brake uses the proven design of the earlier Classico brake but now without the inflated price tag, they have done this by eliminating the CNC process making this a lot cheaper. This brake comes with Flys new female brake pads in clear or black and redesigned cable hanger. Weight: 137g / 4.8oz.
The new Manual springhanger brake is forged from 6061-T6 alloy and uses Flys new springhanger system which makes the brake really easy to setup as there is no springs that have to be setup in the brake. This brake comes with Flys SPS system brake pads. Weight: 157g / 5.5oz.
The Manual brake cable is about as tech as a cable gets, with its spiral shell casing that ensures durability and consistent brake feel when wound up for tailwhips or barspins, an inner stainless cable with Teflon coating for flawless performance and the smoothest pull possible. Literally capping things off, two very unique aluminum CNC machined cable ferrules that have an internal cone shape that not only pushes the outer cable away from the inner cable to ensure zero bind, but also helps avoid “cable blowout” where the outer cable potentially pushes through a conventional ferrule, found only on Manual brake cables.
The Manual CNC lever comes with improved machined details and smoother edges on some critical areas without compromising the CNC look. The previous version came with oversized brass bushings that reduced wobble and on this one Fly have gone one step further. They are now using the super smooth and strong IGUS bushings that not only reduces the wobble, but totally eliminates it!
For Flybikes 20th anniversary they've decided to bring the very popular CNC brake back to life, now packed with some new improvements. The refined and updated brake has a throwback look like the classic CNC version but now with the Springhanger technology. The arms are built to be stiffer and to accept up to 2.50” tires giving you plenty of clearance. The Springhanger comes with an upgraded spring with a flat shape on the straight part for a stiffer performance and an anti-wobble adjustment that eliminates brake-wobble. Fly's Manual Mini Lever is the first to be designed from scratch with junior riders in mind, the perfect part for 16" and 18" setups. Instead of using the more common approach to lever construction using a standard lever bracket with a smaller lever, Fly have scaled down every part to make sure that it functions as well as it's full sized counterparts. The Manual Mini Lever uses CNC machined brass bushings instead of stock plastic ones that don't last or perform anywhere near as well. It boasts a refined shape and no barrel design to make it as soft as safe as possible.
