Part of the Gravita series, designed to take you down the mountain, fast and in control, the Gravita Versor Clip MTB Shoes are a versatile mountain bike shoe that's at home on a trail centre away day or enjoying the exhilaration of big-mountain lift-assisted downhill laps. X6 Outsole. Clip in and Stay in Control. The heart of the Gravita Versor shoe is the X6 Outsole. It's this that keeps you confidently on the pedals and is crucial for reacting quickly, aggressively and nimbly to changing terrain and trail features. For the clipped version of the Gravita Versor, Fizik has utilised a Vibram tread compound. This isn't quite as sticky as that found on the flat-pedal shoe but makes for a smoother engagement and disengagement from clip-in pedals. The rubber compound is formed into a zonal lug pattern. Low profile mid-foot tread offers an optimal mechanical interface with pedal bodies, keeping you planted even if you don't immediately find your clip in point. Meanwhile, the heel and toes feature a deeper tread for greater traction when hiking back up the hill. Flex is also tuned for the clip-in rider. The stiffness gets a boost, rated 5 out of 10 on the Fizik stiffness scale, optimising power transfer and improving pedalling efficiency. An extended cleat track also allows you to run cleats further back. This gives a flat-pedal feel as you can drop heels for improved stability and control on descents. Ergonomic and Durable Fizik's Versor design provides a supportive and comfortable fit, cradling the foot and working with the ergonomic lace-up closure to give the perfect fit every time you ride. While riding aggressively demands toughness the team at Fizik didn't want to add unnecessary weight or bulk. To this end, they turned to a hardwearing ripstop woven fabric for the upper, providing resistance to tearing and ripping and yet remaining remarkably light. It also offers a snug and supportive fit, rather than the bulky look and sloppy fit of many typical gravity shoes. Elsewhere, a PU-laminated toecap and side reinforcements provide protection from wear and tear and ward off rocks and roots - just what you need when you're foot out and flat out.
