The Perfetto RoS Light Womens Jersey is the result of a request from the pros, who wanted an equivalent to the Gabba for warmer conditions. The Perfetto Light is more breathable yet is still completely windproof and offers protections in rainy conditions. The womens specific short sleeve jersey uses GORE-TEX INFINIUM 203 fabric on the front and sleeves for wind protection, stretch, and breathability. Castellis Nano Flex Light Woven fabric on the back panel lets any excess moisture escape while still providing good water protection. The Perfetto Light closes with a YKK Vislon zipper. The easy action of the zip makes any adjustment for ventilation light work, even whilst flying along. When Castelli engineered the first aero jersey for road racing back in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aero was only for TTs. Performance clothing meant moisture management. And you could win the Tour de France with a baggy jersey that was little more than a polyester T-shirt. Even our aerodynamic consultants expected limited gains, so we named the jersey Split Second, though, like now, we thought even small gains were worth pursuing. Surprisingly useful - We can officially only rate these warmers at UPF 50+, but in our laboratory tests they actually blocked 99.8 percent of damaging UV rays. We used a polyester base that is not only more effective than nylon at blocking UV rays but is also much better at keeping you dry, which means these skins are better in both cooler and warmer conditions. Weve kept the construction very clean to eliminate seams that can rub, and we used our double-sided silicone elastic to make sure they stay in place. They fold up extremely small, so theyre great to stick in your pockets for your next big mountain day. The Transition 2 Jacket is a mid-weight jacket perfect for those autumn and spring rides where you want to cut the chill but dont want to overheat. The back of the jacket forgoes the wind stopping membrane for greater breathability, letting sweat and excessive heat easily escape. All the details are there, from 3 rear pockets that are perfectly sized and placed, a silicone gripper at the waist holds the jersey in place, to a YKK Vislon zipper makes for easy opening and closing. If you look carefully, the Perfetto RoS 2 Jacket is essentially a long-sleeve version of the Gabba RoS 2. So it's just a warmer Gabba? Not really. The full sleeves fully turn it into a jacket, but one that covers a wide range of conditions. Like the Gabba, the RoS insignia signifies that it excels in dry conditions thanks to the high breathability, as well as in wet conditions thanks to the Castelli-exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabrics. There's a light fleece-lined water-resistant version on the forward-facing surfaces and a lighter and stretchier fabric on the back that maximizes the breathability while providing excellent water repellency. The Perfetto RoS 2 Jacket keeps all the cold wind out while being much more breathable than the typical polyurethane membranes used on most jackets that try to compete with the Perfetto. When you stay drier, you don't need as many layers underneath. The beauty of this jacket is that it doesn't have any insulation on its own, so a thin base layer is just right for mild conditions, while adding an insulating layer (a thermal jersey or Castelli's Alpha 2nd Layer) will take you to cold temperatures. You decide. The 2 part of the name refers to the updates to the latest version, including a YKK® Vislon® zipper with both top and bottom openings for more adjustable ventilation. The reflectivity on the back is more visible, the seam at the top of the shoulder has been moved to the back, and the three pockets hold more gear. While the Perfetto remains decidedly a performance fit, the new model has a touch more room through the chest, shoulder, and biceps. This is the one jacket that belongs in every cyclist's quiver.
