To assure the best possible repair for tubeless tyres, the DART made sure that every detail was right. Designed at an extremely lightweight, it is very easy to fit. The DART is also very durable and offers an ergonomic design that's easy to hold and allows precise placement.
The kit contains 5 thick and 5 thin seals depending on the size of the tyre gash. Mark the area with the crayon, clean the hole with the reamer, fill the hole with the rubber adhesive, then insert your seal with the claw tool. Remove the claw tool and cut off the excess seal with the knife.
Featuring an adapted head which allows the tyre insert to sit on top of the valve, the shape of the head allows for easy inflation and deflation. Each valve has a removable core allowing you to get maximum air flow from your tubeless pump or CO2 cartridge. The specially-designed custom cap features a core remover built in so you can remove & tighten the core without any additional tools. The nut has also been designed so that you can get a good grip on the flat edges to tighten the valve in the rim. An O-ring is also provided which sits against the outside of the rim and provides an airtight seal while preventing damage to the rim from the nut on the valve. These custom, Swiss made bearings are double sealed, fully serviceable and removable which give a much greater life span than stock units. The bearings are made (as all Hope bearings are) by INA and have been designed to run directly on the crankset axle without using shims or spacers -again increasing life and reliability. Hope use a non-contact, free running labyrinth seal to protect the bearing externally, and the machined aluminium centre tube is sealed internally with o-rings. Standard 6 colours are available on cups - red, blue, silver, black, gold and gunmetal, with the centre tubes being black on the stainless and gunsmoke on the ceramic. Please Note: The 68/73mm width option is the universal type for both MTB and Road bikes, it is not the Hope Road Specific Series model.
